Guest guest
I love bees! (Even though one of my earliest memories is of stepping on a bumblebee as a toddler and learning, at great expense to both of us, that that's not a good idea!) One year at ceremony, I think it was 1989 or 1990, it suddenly came into me that we need to pray for the bees, that they were in danger. Ever since then, they've held a tender place in my heart. I love watching them, how enthusiastic and passionate and joyful they are, carrying the life force around in a big orange ball pegged to the back of their knees. When they crawl into the tube of a flower, or roll around in the sticky stamens, I feel their sighs of pleasure. Last year I started a photo series called Drunken Bees. It's unfinished yet. Maybe this spring... I love bees! Servants of the Mother, tending her with joyful diligence and glee. How precious they are! I was saddened to hear of the hive which died. I pray the spirits of those bees are tending the spirits of the blossoms of that land, weaving a web of love to support life. This morning I read an article that talks about the possibility of microwave radiation from cell towers interfering with bees' ability to navigate by the earth's magnetic field. http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2009/11/07/Honeybees-Face-Tow\ ering-Threat-From-Cell-Phones.aspx It makes me wonder how much I am indirectly contributing to the suffering. I didn't know that bees navigate by the earth's energetic field, her aura, and I didn't know that cell towers interfere with it. We are disrupting her aura! Our relatives are suffering, and we are, too. How much of what I do every day contributes to this suffering? How do I alleviate it?Do I give up cell phones and internet? If it will lessen the suffering, I am willing to do that. Is it enough? How do I change the way I live to lessen suffering on this planet so full of suffering, and so full of beauty?
