Guest guest
I am wondering about the particular interpretation for this dream because my intuition isn't really telling me much. I dreamt I grabbed a snake by its head so it couldnt bite me. I was delicate so I wouldn't hurt it nor it me. I felt it struggle at one point so I eased my grip. It was a big serpent. As I held the snake I felt it bite into my hand and felt the venom go through me. I put it into a glass case and it was under the sand. It arose through the sand and was fine. When I looked at my hand I saw two indentations where its fangs had hit me, but when I stretched the skin I realized that it did not actually puncture the skin. The fang marks disappeared. The environment of the dream was dark and gloomy. Prior to that dream I was in an ocean where people were fishing for giant sea beasts like sharks and the like with pigs tied up as bait. -Tiffany S
Guest guest
Hey Tiffany thanks for sharing the dream. What comes to me (and this is from my own experience with these type of dreams so it may or may not resonate witth you ).. is that you may be going through emotional healing. The Snake is K. working on parts of self that need transformation, and this may be painful. I had the poisonous snake dream biting me many times, and at first the snake would appear threatening and dangerous, and then I would start to realize it wasnt hatmful to me, often in the same dream, just as happened to you. I feel the seperate self or ego sees the snake as threatening as attachemnents to survival/instinctive/fear based strategies of the ego, often associated with pain, have to be died to, so yes, the snake is a threat to the ego, not to the Higher Self. The sharks in the ocean - what comes to mind is that those are emotional aspects of self in the unconscious that have been repressed and viewed as dangerous, and they need to be seen as positive and integrated into your increasingly whole self. I would suggest re-imagining the dream, and jumping into the water, swimming down to the sharks and hugging them. This will help you begin to befriend those aspects of your self you are afraid of.. have fun love Bruce , " angelikdementia " <angelikdementia wrote: > > I am wondering about the particular interpretation for this dream because my intuition isn't really telling me much. Guest guest
Hey Bruce, this is a little off subject but I've been wondering about this: what is the Higher Self? is it the same as Inner Presence? love craig , " BruceO " <bruce_oom wrote: > > Hey Tiffany > > thanks for sharing the dream. Guest guest
Hi Craig how you doing? and how is the emotional rollercoaster coming along? its a fun gutwrenching ride, isnt it? I am not sure what you mean by Inner Presence... What I mean by Higher Self (and this is my understanding) is the living of our highest potential and purpose and feeling the joy of that expression... One thing Kundalini seems to do is shift the center of identity from being egoic (where ego and its drives for certainty, habit, survival, power, control and so on) to a place where the ego is a tool, not the master. When grounded in the Higher Self (i guess also in inner Presence) the fruits of the spirit, of love and peace and joy shine forth. I think that when we are living our lives with joy and openess and love and peace then we are in that higher self. I think back to my holidays as a child at school, when we had 7 weeks off from school. I would spend the time surfing, playing tennis, staying with my best friend for a week at a time, and I was happy and loving life. I was in my higher self then, living a joyful life. When we bump into adulthood, the ego often gets caught up in 'the demands of adult life' and that can be a huge constriction on freedom. The difference between me now and when i was a child is that as a kid, I was free within conditions, yet now I am unconditionally free (most of the time.. haha )... and k. is a trip into unconditioned freedom... anyway, rambling on.. does that answer your question? love Bruce , " phoenix.ing9 " <phoenix.ing9 wrote: > > Hey Bruce, this is a little off subject but I've been wondering about this: what is the Higher Self? is it the same as Inner Presence? > > love > craig > > , " BruceO " <bruce_oom@> wrote: > > > > Hey Tiffany > > > > thanks for sharing the dream. Guest guest
Hey Bruce, it seems that I have gotten off that specific emotional rollercoaster for now. It's weird, it actually feels like that, and I know that I'm probably going to have to board it again further down the road but I got what I needed for the time being. It feels sort of like the chopping of a tree and now I've been moved to a different part of the tree to chop . Yeah, sorry about that, it dawned on me after asking this that you might not know what I meant, just as I didn't know what Higher Self meant, haha, but yeah, that's a really good explanation and they are the same . Was curious about that, i've heard higher self alot but never knew exactly what it was.. how's your neck of the woods? craig , " BruceO " <bruce_oom wrote: > > Hi Craig > > how you doing? and how is the emotional rollercoaster coming along? its a fun gutwrenching ride, isnt it? > > I am not sure what you mean by Inner Presence...
