Guest guest
All: I'm learning so much about Self throughout my home quest. I have been really clueless, as I've been fortunate that the economic downturn had not hit close to home (though I have been challenged through two rounds of layoffs.) Any home for which I can qualify would now be bank owned, and can take up to 6 months to approve or reject " my offer " . One would that it would be easy to find a place, but the process is like a game. Rental space is even more-so challenging. " The perfect storm " as my realitor says. I look on the maps peppered with dots of available homes, foreclosed and repossesed. These are individuals, and families and pets that these dots represent. Where have all these people gone; where are they now in their lives, are they ok, what about their health, do they need food? Why cannot these homes go to families in need? And why do we live in square houses?! My heart shreads more and more as I glance over the map representing displaced families and shattered dreams. My hope is that their situation has brought them into a new beginning. And since additional homes will be built vs utilizing what remains vacated and available, I have called Habitat for Humanity so I can make use of my hands and my heart in building homes and a " dream " for others while dreaming into being, creating and transforming my own. Blessing to all you have been without shelter, income, and food in their bellies. I ask for foregiveness for my lack of true understanding, (for I knew but did not know), of the severity and impact of this on a person/family. May I integrate this into my daily processes and that of being of service to others. Blesssing to you. Love: Danielle
Guest guest
Oh, Danielle, What a beautiful piece of writing. I too worry and wonder about the families who's homes have been re possessed and sent up for auction. Most of these families have done their best to pay debts on time and find extra work to pay mortgages but circumstances have overcome them and all has been lost. The hidden homeless sleeping on family and friends couches or sleeping in hostel accommodation while trying to build their lives again. On the other hand I see families who have never worked and have no intention of fending for themselves, being given homes, money and extra help. As you stated there are so many homes lying empty, while families, children and babies cry out for roofs over their heads. I have been homeless in the past. I slept on my mothers sofa untill I found an old caravan in a muddy field and made it home. It was a home shared with sheep, chickens and two goats, but it was a home. take care all of you. There but the grace of God, go I. Blessings, Iona x , " iamwaitingmoon " <iamwaitingmoon wrote: > > All: > I'm learning so much about Self throughout my home quest. Guest guest
It will bring new begginings Danielle, as i have looked at the figures 2 million homes foreclosed, 4 people to a house, so 8 million have had to move. Its called migration to me> Altho the Media would never dare tell us that. As the economies go down spirtuality goes up, thats a fact, as good souls find new inner meaning.Lets hope they do find new homes soon. We all should send compassion and love to all each day. These are tough times for many. Richard. iamwaitingmoon Tue, 10 Nov 2009 14:28:12 +0000 Where is everyone now? All: I'm learning so much about Self throughout my home quest. Guest guest
You have such a kind heart! You go girl. I can tell you that one of those people is me and we're doing well renting now. We may have lost the home we were mortgaging but I kept my job and we still have a plenty of food and clothes for our family! We are doing well. Our new house is even bigger than our mortgaged home and we also have a beautiful view of a pond that I am blessed to view during my morning process every day now. It all works out the way it should eventually. It was all divine and it's always divine.
