Guest guest
I have a question that I would like to ask ... well it is more of a quandry really... I have been a vegetarian for nearly 4 years now.... it happened overnight and when asked how come I did not eat meat any more I basically told the truth and said that..... the desire to eat meat just left me. K has been working again and now I do not eat any animal products at all..... no dairy... no eggs.... etc. I am eating as a vegan. It is very hard for me to explain that one.... It seems I have become a strict vegan which means not eating foods like honey or drinking most wines.... I can't explain it ...that is just the way it is to be.... Anyways this is my quandry....I have decided to say that I got tested recently and it was discovered that I am allergic to dairy and eggs and some wheats... In other words I am planning to tell a great big lie! My sisters know that Just like becoming a vegetarian I am now becoming a vegan. I am heading off with my nifty 50 friends for a week end soon and if I give any information outside of the proposed lie about allergy then the " interregation " will begin...lol! I just do not want to go there so is it ok for me to lie?
Guest guest
Julia- My personal recommendation would not be to share about a medical finding which is not factual (if I'm understanding the allergy statement correctly as being the fabrication), as you may discover that Shakti at some point may lead you to the butcher shop, and it could very well be when you are sharing time with your nifty fifty friends. Personally, I like this explanation " I can't explain it ....that is just the way it is to be.... " This is just my personal thought. Guest guest
Hi Danielle, How could I explain not being alergic to eggs and dairy etc if I am led to eat those things again....lol... did not think of that. Best not to fabricate at all. Thank you. Guest guest
It is always best to stay with in your integrity I feel. No one is going to be hurt by your choices of diet so perhaps you can merely indicate that it is a matter of inner guidance. I also agree with Danielle.....things could change! - lol and blessings! - chrism
Guest guest
Julia, I think it's ok to say that certain foods do not appeal to you. No one can argue with that or grill you on why. It's also ok to say that you find you feel better when you eat certain kinds of foods and avoid others. Again, who can argue with how you feel? For an interrogation to be an interrogation, there must be resistance, something for the interrogator to challenge. By saying " I can't explain it. It's just the diet that works for me and makes me feel good, " you fail to provide any resistance. Much wind is taken out of the sails of the " interrogation " when you admit that you cannot really explain it or when you agree with them that, yes, it is a bit unusual, but it works for you. So they may think that you (or at least your dietary habits) are a little weird or unusual. That's ok - no harm there. Gently deflect their attention: turn the conversation to other things - let them speak of their own lives, family, work, etc. Be a good listener. Forgive them for any pettiness they may exhibit. Forgive yourself for any irritation that may arise. Be a conduit - let Shakti pour love through you to them. By the end of the weekend, they may be saying, " That Julia, she has some strange eating habits, but boy does it feel good to talk to her... " Love and blessings, David
Guest guest
Hi Julia - this is really quite an easy one - I would just tell the truth! Is there any need to either worry or lie? You became a vegetarian long before you discovered your now-allergic reaction to certain foods - it looks as though your body is responding to your choice to go in that direction!
