Dear Waiting Moon,

Tonight I was helping to organise a bazaar for a charity and I came accross a

small wall plaque with a sculpture of a woman whose face is veiled by her long

hair...it was made in Kinsale where you stayed this summer ... and this was

written on the back of it... Love Julia

The Triple or Moon Goddess is every woman:

the mother who bears man,

the nymph who lies with him,

the hag who initiates him into the secrets of life and eventually buries him.

Man forever seeks behind the veiled face for the nymph, is disconcerted when he

finds he has embraced a mother, then is appalled when he finds the hag. Only if

he can swallow the hysterical scream of the hag will he discover the eternal

feminine, Hagia Sophia, Holy Wisdom. In this sculpture by Andrew Griffiths, she

is sitting on the seashore. Her realm or temenos, is often that of the boundary,

where change can happen. She waits for man to embrace her in all her aspects

then she becomes queen and he king.

Ooh how " bazaar " . LOL. Oh thank you Julia. (This too makes me think of the

Selkies.) Thank you for sharing this, carrying me in your thoughs, and opening

this window of experience; what lovely remembering too of so much beauty. Umm, I

can taste the sea on my lips. I like this. " Her realm or temenos, is often that

of the boundary, where change can happen. "

Oh, thank you so much, Julia.

Love:

Danielle
