Guest guest
What a loving and wise and powerful community! The postings and loving gifts offered in this thread are so very precious. Many thanks to you Craig for starting the bloom on this beautiful flower. Denny! You blessed soul! Nice to read you again my friend! Your words are wide and potent in integrity and love. Reading them is a blessing and I thank you for them Denny! I would like to suggest, if I may, a different kind of gift for you. One that has not been given here or on the healing list before. But that in its simplicity can be very tactile and healthful. Let me know of your interest if any dear friend! What a blessed community! I know I have said it again! So much love and consideration so much grace. Yes Craig it would be a great experience to have a place to be sure. Some could stay and some could visit. Thus far it is as a gift to even Have THIS LOVING GROUP HERE IN CYBERSPACE! - lol! Though I find the internet is a fragile connection. Computer goes down and well.... Yes a brick and mortar place would be good and it is something we as a community can put into motion. I am currently looking into the vast empty lands for a site of a community building. New Mexico or Arizona or anywhere that has water. Everything else can be brought or developed but water is a need. Lets start keeping an eye out for a place and for the finances that could actualize it. Both Sandra and Carolyn stated some thoughts that I feel are right on target in that we are here to be as examples " in society " to those who continue to sleep. Having a place for US isnt outside of that service. It is a stengthening of that service! Sometimes it is good to be amongst those who " know " and those who " understand. " Having a place for those caught in K syndrome can actually save lives. So there is far more to it than mere camaraderie. We can do this. What Jonathan said is also appropriate as well as Bruce and Danielle and Julia and , Jan, Shaz, Heer, and Denny. These are areas where both service to the K person and to the unawakened world are not exclusive of eachother! Lets do it! - lol! Join the group: Intentional-Kundalini-Community-of-Home/ And lets get moving on this! is in New Mexico and says there is lots of land available. I will move to where ever it is. I can do that. Others can and others cannot. There is no pressure to do so merely an option for those who can arrange it for themselves if they wish. Visiting is highly recommended. - lol! This is what we have been doing (among other activities) at the seminars. Making those connections for the esatblishment of a Kundalini Awakened Sanctuary. If the grace and collective power of love as expressed to you Craig, through these postings, from this fraction of the KAS1 community, is an example then we will get there and there is no better time thatn NOW to get started. - blessings to everyone! - chrism
Guest guest
Karen Bishop from http://www.emergingearthangels.com/2009/wings11.18.2009.html has a spiritual community in New Mexico, and I think she is even selling land... Kelly Jones from http://schoolofnewearth.wordpress.com/ is working on starting a community and is looking for land in Australia. I really liked her idea of anyone interested putting down x amount for their share of the land, but then it goes towards purchasing the land, like everyone owns it. The more people the less the cost of the land. In her case everyone has their own section of land where they can build off of. I was looking into low cost sturdy DIY housing and earthbag homes are really inexpensive to build and you can design them basically anyway you want. The actual design and structure is completely up to your imagination. Its just using the earth, barbed wire, concrete, plaster and vinyl or burlap bags. I saw some examples and I think one couple built their dream home for only a few thousand dollars or less. I've seen a lot of examples and am very impressed with how people finished them off. Here are some examples: http://www.okokok.org/eb-roofs-8-3.php http://www.blisstree.com69/2007/09/hh11-medium-web-view.jpg http://www.motherearthnews.com/uploadedImages/articles/issues/2009-08-01/MEN-AS0\ 9-earthbag-lead.jpg http://energysmartideas.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/06/earthbag-house.jpg If for nothing else we could always look at what other communities are doing to get ideas on how this would work. Honestly this would be like a dream scenario for me and I know other people who would also be interesting in helping out. So... lets do this!!!!!! Guest guest
Thank you chrism for supporting this dream and vision. Someone here suggested that there are possibly camps that are already built with buildings and needed items that sometimes are for sale. I had thought recently that a realtor would be a good idea- one who deals with large properties and camps- I will check this out - may not find one who is open to just checking however nothing ventured. It does not hurt to see what is out there. The land around here is very receptive to a community - there are some here already - New Mexico is not a desert in all areas. There are trees and foliage all over that enhance the properties and the ability to grow all things. Here in this area they grow fruit trees- grapes for wine and all kinds of food. Never realized this. It will take this Kundalini ashram to find and build the Kundalini community in the physical and I know in my heart it will be. I may just have to visit Ruiodoso in the south of NM - had it on my plans to see and check it out - near Roswell - Am very good at visualizing and dreaming- just feed my specail talent. e
Guest guest
I can definitely support this idea. I can contribute financially and other ways, but since I am in NJ, there is not much I can do for direct support. For a Kundalini Awakened Sanctuary!! Guest guest
Hi, I had a look at all the links you posted, and also signed up to our other group forum (Community). I loved Kelly Jones site 'School of new Earth', it looks like a wonderful Utopian place to live, work and learn. Those earth/Eco houses are lovely and actually remind me of places I have stayed in, in my dreams. I've heard of some Buddhist monks building a temple out of thrown away bottles and the sun shining through them gave the look of stained glass. I have also watched a programme of a couple who built their house out of old worn tyres. There are so many items we would normally discard that could be used in house building. Some of these items are probably clogging up our rubbish dumps, and will take hundreds of years to decompose-if at all. Far better to make them into something we want to keep for 100yrs, once they have outlived their original function. One thing that worries me is money. In order to raise the kind of money involved in building a community like School of New Earth, is hundreds of thousands, maybe millions. Both estimates are far from what the average person on this list could raise. Also people with cash like that have usually been part of the establishment we would be moving away from. Often the exploitation of the 'little' man was involved in them making their millions. In Scotland we have a similar set up which started out small in the 1970's. Just 3-5 people and caravans. It is now a self-sustaining village and educational centre. But it has committees and rules. Its called Findhorn www.findhorn.org Blessings, Iona x , " astraltraveler1984 " <mjf84 wrote: > > Karen Bishop from http://www.emergingearthangels.com/2009/wings11.18.2009.html has a spiritual community in New Mexico, and I think she is even selling land... > > Kelly Jones from http://schoolofnewearth.wordpress.com/ is working on starting a community and is looking for land in Australia. Guest guest
those are really cool houses Matt! I like your enthusiasm too. We can do this, all it takes is faith and guidance from Shakti. I like the ideas you have brought forth and I know we can do this criag , " astraltraveler1984 " <mjf84 wrote: > > Karen Bishop from http://www.emergingearthangels.com/2009/wings11.18.2009.html has a spiritual community in New Mexico, and I think she is even selling land... > > Kelly Jones from http://schoolofnewearth.wordpress.com/ is working on starting a community and is looking for land in Australia. Guest guest
Hey everyone, I forgot to include these two links as well. This couple started this retreat on this secluded island off the coast of Thailand. For a few years I have been looking at this. I am not saying we should go start looking for an island, lol, but I thought their slide show was so beautiful and inspiring I wanted to share it. http://www.montevistathailand.com/en/imagine.php Kelly Jones has a youtube page and has some video blogs regarding her project and some of her ideas. Some over her ideas are somewhat controversial " out of the box ideas " especially her current video, you may or may not agree with them all but she is very interesting and inspiring to watch. What I like about her is that she's not afraid to say what she thinks and she has a lot of original and thought provoking ideas. Her youtube page: http://www.youtube.com/kellysjones I'm glad that we have some other people interested in this. A lot of groups are starting to or considering forming their own communities. Its not impossible and I know we can do this... It is definitely a realistic goal and when we have lots of people who are passionate about one idea it will eventually fall into place. There is not a doubt in my mind. Iona, building a temple out of bottles sounds awesome. As far as money is concerned, obviously what Kelly Jones is doing in on a massive scale, I mean she has a really BIG plan, including building housing underground. Apparently she has the means of doing something like this and the rest would be covered by the people interesting in joining. For something like Kundalini Awakening Systems, who knows. We could do something smaller and it could still work. The earthbag housing or something similar could work towards cutting down the costs, and maybe we could consider doing something with solar power, to cut down the cost of energy long term. It would cost money, but its possible, if we have enough people interested it will work. If there isn't a lot of people then maybe we would just make one really large facility with multiple rooms. Another option is we could always collaborate with another like minded group what is interested in doing the same thing. Off the top of my head I can already think of two. There are ways. For Kelly Jones S.O.N.E. I think everyone is contributing around 5 grande (not including the cost of housing). It might take some time to save but its possible. Anything is possible and in the meantime we could always play the lottery, lol. all my love - Matt , " ionaskydancer " <ionaskydancer wrote: > > Hi, > > I had a look at all the links you posted, and also signed up to our other group forum (Community). Guest guest
Matt- thank you for the links interesting to see what others are doing. All can be gleaned from to form whatever is needed by our group. I was just writing to day that perhaps a house of fellow travelers might be the thing until land and money can be secured - at least it would be a start - a beginning. Here in NM lots of sun for solar power all year long. I came across a pecan farm for sale and a number of horse farms that are run as resorts. Thought crossed my mind that is a way for cash flow - to run a camp or resort or farm.-- All the while radiating to all who come to visit. I like thinking out of the box - and it gives the time to build to what it is that is desired. Lots of energy flowing here so nice to feel- e
Guest guest
some ideas a posted on the Intentional-Kundalini-Community-of-Home forum: I was thinking that maybe we should start off small like 20-50 acres of land and then build up from there. here's a website with land for sale in NM http://www.landwatch.com/default.aspx?ct=r & type=5,62;13,12;92,479;268,6843 & r.PRI\ \\C=%2c47999 (if you look at the left corner you will see a section titled 'expand your results' and if you click on the options beside 'remove' like New Mexico, Land, 11-50 acres, etc. then you can remove that and look a little further down on the left column to refine the search to different options.) So this search is for 11-50 acres of land in New Mexico price range up to $47,999. and here's one from that search http://www.landwatch.com/De-Baca-County-New-Mexico-Land-for-sale/pid/54697 and here's another without pictures but one thing that caught my eye is that it includes use of 14,700 acre recreation area in the mountains for the property owners only (I wonder how many friends could be included in that, a whole sangha? lol) http://www.landwatch.com/Socorro-County-New-Mexico-Land-for-sale/pid/88021276 I can't tell how fertile the land is in New Mexico, only used to the fertility of eastern lands (US)... craig , " astraltraveler1984 " <mjf84 wrote: > > Another option is we could always collaborate with another like minded group what is interested in doing the same thing.
