Guest guest
thank you Sandra but I'm going to have to agree to disagree. I can no longer do things out of fear that something bad could happen. I have to live with possibilities. Having a physical location doesn't mean that the internet group would have to move to that physical location nor would the site have to be shut down. Having an organization does not mean that power struggles and abuses will inevitably occur. It's a possibility but not a definite. There are many examples of spiritual organizations that help the whole of humanity, we don't have to focus on all the bad ones. Are all Zen temples corrupt? Are all Christian and Jewish places of spiritual practice corrupt? Why does having a physical location mean that it's going to have to be corrupt? And yes being part of a physical ashram or whatever you want to call it will have it's challenges, but I would also see it as taking chance and taking a leap of faith. And no this is not for all and that's ok, we all have our paths to take. But since I started consciously on my spiritual path 3 years ago I wanted to join a Zen monastery to have a more intensification of practice. I hadn't felt guided nor trusting enough to choose one. then I found this group and now I found a group of people I can trust. So even if it meant that a couple of us moved to the same area or even lived in the same state, that would be fine with me. But I guess I'm thinking, if was up for it, why not have a physical location, it doesn't mean it has to even be large scale, judging by the type of responses to this post, I'm guessing it would be quite small, lol. But anyways, I'm for it, and I see the possibilites not the negative " what if's " . love to you craig , " caraleen98 " <caraleen98 wrote: > > Dear Craig, > You mention a physical group location. Something like this did cross my mind. This group is scattered far and wide all over the world though, so I'm not sure of how the practicalities would work. This would be up to to decide, however he is directed and wishes to direct each of us. Also, there are drawbacks with forming largescale organisations and classifying things and therefore restrictions would arise. There are so many of these organisations, and many people are put off by power struggles and abuses that inevitably occur. Maybe our path is to be living examples in each of our communities all over the world. > Love, Sandra >
