Guest guest
To Love Like a Raging Raindrop The storm arose And crossed the skies; Gun metal gray clouds, The sun's demise. The rain began In gentle lines Caressing Earth Sweet kiss, divine. Increased in strength's Intensity,it showered Down, near' like a sea. Above and all Around about, The skies were Opened like a spout. It fell so hard I could not see; The drenching rain, Engulfing me. Wash over me With your pelting rain, Your liquid silver dew; Wash over me and through me, And leave me clean and cool. Wash through me with your silver shots And claim me for your own; Then strip the shards of self away And for my lack atone. I gladly yield myself to you Baptize me in your rain; And wash away all evidence Of self's despair and pain. To you I yield, to you alone From now throughout all time; Relinquishing what lies behind: Now clothed in the sublime. Diane Baugh
