Guest guest
I don't know how to explain the change that took place in me. When James or anyone goes into a drama situation where their emotions are out of control, I slip into observer mode and the drama doesn't effect me. It is like I am in the eye of the storm and in peace, while all hell is breaking loose around me. My mind stays clear and focused. Sometimes it is so comical I am laughing inside. I do not say anything most of the time and the drama ends quickly like dead weight when they realize their outburst has no effect on me. Not for sure about that, but that is what it seems. It is sort of like the peace in me calms the storm within them. When it calms, then we can talk it over peacefully. The outbursts have now lessen in their frequency. I really don't know what exactly takes place, but I like it. Before, whenever James would get angry about something and threw one of his drama fits, it would quickly be over for him when his anger was spent, but for me the effect stayed all day, sometimes several days.My reacting to his drama would cause it to increase and go for a longer time. He would get even more angry and blame me for making him get angry. It doesn't bother me like that anymore, it just rolls off, doesn't touch me. That is as well as I can explain it.
