Guest guest
Come, walk with me along the desert Paseo canal trail. There are two Osprey hawks flushed from the large eucalyptus tree. One lets out a cry and the sound dangles in the mild westward breeze. A second cry follows, which resonates in ones heart. They both fly towards the Superstition mountains and into the rising sun. Look over here, at the three little cotton tails, joyfully skipping. They must be getting ready for their day of schooling. " Hurry up you three " …can hear their mother calling? The ducks, six male, six female are in a leisurely glide and their reflection make for a whole flock. Oh, and amazing. The large Egrets are sitting atop the lamp posts. In this predawn light, you would think it was a seaside village. Watch out! The humming bird is doing it s dive bombing stunts. Step aside over here where the tuxedo kitty is tap dancing along the irrigation ditch, but be sure to pick up your feet for the scurring lizzard. That's Sumac and Spice and Everything Nice, the llamas. How silly they are, enjoying sitting in their food. Ahh, and the multi-coloured roses. Inhale deeply and hold your breath until you get past the sour hay at the dairy. These are my favorite, the burrowing owls. Two have come out of their little rock tunnels and are prepared to greet this beautiful day. I like to give them the Peace sign and tell them I love them…but be forewarned; you never know who is within earshot as you are doing and saying this. Love: Danielle
