Guest guest
I do believe that we reincarnate and that the general parameters pertaining to a particular reincarnation are chosen by us and others in advance and with the intent of exposing ourselves to circumstances that will ultimately prove to be crucial lessons. By general parameters I mean that a `suitable environment' for specific things to occur is created. What then does finally transpire in the said incarnation however is not predetermined and is thus a choice of our physical aspect. If we make the wrong choice and the `pre-selected' lesson is not learned then we have to `recycle' to do it again! I find now that the `messages' come thick and fast and I have learnt and continue to learn the hard way to take heed – even if the matter is trivial at face value. There are many instances that, when I look back on them now, I know that I made the wrong choices and those choices were made for the wrong reasons. The outcomes resulted in pain of one form or another – often over a protracted period (that goes with being a slow learner!!) Moving forward one step in terms of guidance, surrender to a higher power does not mean abdication – there will most definitely be situations where we would like the decision to be made for us, but that isn't going to happen because we have to learn how to integrate our physical (mind/ego) with our higher self – if we get it right all goes well – if not we pay the consequences! That's life! Maybe consider surrender as the integration of all aspects of our being – I am talking about striving towards a collective consciousness here (collective in the sense of all aspects of our being). If we get all together our higher self (or whatever you wish to name that aspect), or the kundalini (which is also integral to our being) and which are in closer contact with the divine and thus more knowledgeable than our very limited minds, will guide us. We can listen to those `messages' but we need to be receptive to them in the first place. Until that integration is more cohesive we think that we are on a limb but that really isn't the case – we just can't `hear' the message! Increasing receptivity comes from closely following the safeties and practice as taught by chrism. Just my take on it.
