Guest guest
Good morning to you all from here. When I came to KAS first a few months ago I wondered what user name to use. I could think of no funky or cool name like some users had, so I decided to use the name of my maternal grandmother which was Julia. I then used my pre married name of Ahern as my second name....hence Julia Ahern. As time passed I could not use my real name as it would have looked silly to then add my real name to the end of a post without adding an explanation. I am actually a shy person in that I do not share of myself easily and so to have put up my real name at the start would have been impossible for me. I have liked being called Julia and it sorts of feels good to use that name and honour my maternal grandmother too. I was christened Amelia after my dads mother and I took on the name O connor when I married john. Amelia O Connor. Maybe at some stage I will get around to changing my e mail address etc but for now I am happy to let it be. I just wanted you all to know because I have shared my real name with a few and also because I am heading to Brazil means that I will have my Amelia passport with me etc etc and I wanted all of you here to know my " real " name is Amelia. Love Julia Amelia
Guest guest
Hi Julia Amelia, thanks for sharing I hope that writing on this site has been helpful with your shyness. When I first started taking part in public forums I was also shy and not sure how I would be received, and feeling comfortable to express my voice has been good for healing and coming deeper into the fullness of my expression... what would you like uus to call you now? How about " The kundalite formely known as Julia? " (just kidding..) love Bruce , Julia Ahern <jajahern wrote: > > Good morning to you all from here. > > When I came to KAS first a few months ago I wondered what user name to use. Guest guest
Julia Amelia, You made me ponder. On the naming of things. On our bodies and other circumstances this time around. We take on the attributes of our present incarnations for a time to have the educational and evolutionary experiences we need. In some schools of Zen, students are presented with koans. A koan is a conundrum that ultimately forces you to transcend your mind and become a higher state of consciousness, if only for an instant. The " answer " is not to be found in identification with the rational mind. To me, many life situations are koans. There's an old Zen koan: What is your original face before you were born? I have also seen it translated as: What is your original name before you were born? Behind our names, we are bits of Infinity. Abiding in present awareness, the moment between breaths, the instant thought stops, time ends. An ocean with no waves. Just stillness. A dot in eternity. Then - eternity. Guest guest
Julia- " a rose by any other name is still a rose " it matters not what you are called you are loved for who you are and being here you have an abundance of love being given and received. I am basically shy also yet everyone says otherwise - it is all a matter of how we perceive ourselves. As you move along the Kundalini path I feel you will find that shyness dissipate. Kundalini builds ones confidence and especially now - I feel we will all be directed to share our gift and help others. That takes confidence and courage. You and I and all here will be given those traits and we will shine our Kundalini light to the world to those who need to see the path. Julia/Amelia both beautiful names for a beautiful lady. Namaste dear JA e
