Guest guest
All: I'm still at the veterinary clinic as I write this to you; it's after hours and I'm logging my notes. Today one of the staff's little girls was onsite while I worked. Before long she had one of the stethoscopes and I was demonstrating to her how to listen to the animal's heartbeats. She sat in the backroom and practiced on herself and the family of stuffed animal toys she managed to gather up. During a lull in appointments, she walked up to me while I was sitting, and placed her left hand upon my shoulder and raised the stethoscope to my heart. She focused and listened; moved the devise around, and listened again. Her eyebrows crinkled and looking puzzled, she looked up at me with her big blue eyes and whispy blonde hair and said, " I think your heart is broken. I paused, swallowed the lump in my throat and responded, " Dr. Reyanne, what should I do? " She grabs a piece of her drawing paper, and hands me a " prescription " comprising of a crayon drawn smiling sunflower. Then she gives me a big hug and said " you're fixed " . This little one is only 6 going on 7 years of age. I was fascinated by the confidence in which she placed her hand on my shoulder and the other to my heart. It is difficult to describe the intensity behind it, but I thought truly this is of Divine presence because it is so far beyond words. -Just wanted to share this fascinating moment of beauty. Guest guest
A lovely story to read. Children are often like that, unexpected and very sensitive to peoples emotions.
