Guest guest
All: I ran into a homeless man again this morning. We made eye contact while I was parking, and he waiting for me to exit my car. Before asking for change, he leaned up against the block wall, winked and said " Are you stalking me; I see you everywhere Angel Eyes " . I laughed back and I said, yeah, that's funny hugh, because it's you who I see everywhere. He always asks for a quarter...and I said, Marty you wiped me out last time; I'm going to have to start carrying change just for you. I shaked my bag and had two cents to share, along with this story now for you... FWIW, if only the two cents; or perhaps for the priceless K-moment reminding us: Everywhere & in all things. Guest guest
Danielle, He said something to you about your gifts of sight. But not " of " your vision but rather of the impact you have on his. Remember that grace has found you and it shines from every aspect of who you are and it most certainly blazes through your eyes. Your gifts extend far beyond the purse! Your kindness and love encompass the all that you are and from there do you walk in palpable luminosity. - my two cents. - chrism
Guest guest
Speaking of homeless guys, my son came home from school and said I had to take him to help serve dinnner to some homeless guys at a local church. I had done this before at a homeless shelter but it was so great to see my 13 year old son and some of his friends serving about 35 homeless men. He had some great conversations with some of the men and wants to invite one to talk at his school. it was just so heart warming, I just wanted to share. I think it is neat the guy called you Angel eyes, guess he could feel your kindness. Love Maryann , " iamwaitingmoon " <iamwaitingmoon wrote: > > All: > I ran into a homeless man again this morning. Guest guest
It dawned on me this morning, that yesterday while getting ready for work I was having a conversation with self (which tends to be with you too Chrism). I was asking the big " why " question about how I notice the Divine in the plants and animals so readily, so easily and naturally- how it sings to me and fills me with its light and love. I was noticing this as I was inhaling the delightfully intoxicating rose in my garden. The " why " came in contrast to people. I don't so readily experience this with people as I do in nature. (Unless I'm in a Kundalini Seminar). And so I was wondering " why " . I was having a full out question session in my head...didn't think much of it and zoomed off to work. So, how fascinating that awaiting me was a teaching in human form-reminding me of such " 2 cents " that are one. Does that make cents? Guest guest
This is interesting... At church recently I seem to have been fascinating any child under two years old.. particularly children less than one year old.. they just stare and stare at me and seem to dribble more.. lol.. and also the homeless are often drawn to me...or maybe I am drawn to them... tonight at prayers it happened again as a homeless man with bulging eyes and missing teeth came and sat with me.. I just knew it was goint to happen long before and I kind of dreaded it, as I wondered what to talk about, so he came and sat and I just sat, said nothing and stayed present, decided not to change the moment, and waited.. and after a while he started talking. I was curious about my resistance to him, yet that dissolved after a short while and we just hung out, he shared a little, i felt relaxed, and (this is where Danielle's story triggered me) I was wondering how to see the Divine in him and love him. As I relaxed I began to see the Divine shining in him. What was interesting is that he didnt ask me for anything or didnt go into the usual victim story.. and as we sat, someone else bought him an unasked for meal and another bought him a hot chocolate. It was beautiful to watch him, open and relaxed, talking about his childhood, and God providing for him as we sat... a powerful lesson... if we allow God to provide for us, He will. In South Africa there are many street people and beggars, and part of my learning has been to realize that I am not responsible for providing for them; God is. There may be times that I am called to be an agent of provision, and other times not. Either way, its God providing, through me or not through me. love bruce , " mawmuth " <maw2005 wrote: > > Speaking of homeless guys, my son came home from school and said I had to take him to help serve dinnner to some homeless guys at a local church.
