Guest guest
I think it is good when we share bits and pieces about our life with each other .. Some of you have asked questions about my Zen Pond.Today I would like to share a recent photo of The Zen Pond with ice and snow. The pond is roughly 14 feet diameter ( 4.47 meters) . Every stone came from the area of Atachoa---the sacred mountain of the Cherokee. This mountain has been my place of meditation during transitions in my life. Each stone was put into a vehicle of mine over a 3 year period and placed at the pond site. Some are heavy--Three weigh over 125lbs (56.7 kilos) apiece! One perhaps twice that. I waited for YEARS to get the 'go ahead' from my wife to start the project in the early 90's. I scheduled 10 days off work--It rained the whole time! I was in my late 30's--so I got out there and dug it by hand ANYWAY! I pick up each stone and meticiously laid it in place. I hand carried moss from the forrest and plants from the nursery. After 10 -12 hour long days in the rain...it was done! So was my back! I groaned so much -I couldn't get out of bed without rolling out. My wife wanted me to go to a doctor. I refused, saying: " I'll do it my way! " . I spent an entire day doing stretches and exercises...pain to the point of actual tears! My wife said; " You're going to permantly disable yourself! " . " Don't you know me yet, woman? " I asked (Not the last time I asked that question). Needless to say; the next day I was fine. Martial Arts Training combined with the Power of God works wonders! This is what keeps this Old Body going. Another thing: The fence is 10ft tall (3.04 meters)---might make the pond look smaller in the photo I'm sending! Guest guest
Dear Stephen, I love your pond; it is beautiful. May I ask what are the properties/composition of the stones? Guest guest
Dear Stephen, Thanks, when I was looking at the photo I could feel a lot of energy in my hands. I was thinking, the dream I had of the grid seems to have some similarities with how I see your zen pond.
