Guest guest
Every once in a while I try to put everything I have into about a 1-hour love meditation. A few days ago I went out alone for a walk on a tree lined street, and just put all my energy into loving the creation all around me, the individual plants, the sidewalk, the clouds, the birds, the power lines even as they were hard to be near, the squirrels, the occasional passing car, the details and the unity. It took a few moments to really bring my center of being down into the heart, and begin flooding outward the language the heart chakra wanted to communicate to the world, but once it started it wasn't hard to keep it flowing. Somehow walking helps. I went from loving, appreciating, being taken with, astounded by, thrilled with, and captivated by trees, flowers, an interesting thing on a fence post, a stunning cloud formation..... eventually to the point where I was seeing and experiencing the liquid sunshine that flows through everything that is and unifies the creation in its own oneness -- the outer, finite and limited Expression of the non-limited Ultimate. At a certain point, many of the inner perspectives of the safeties merged into one state of being, one perspective, just different manifestations of one inner point of radiance. Most delightful of all, most precious, and a source of a subtle sub-layer of joy resonant with the over-arching joy of loving the creation in some tiny congruity to the Creator's Love, was the state of child-like wonder and delight at seeing existence through the eyes of a heart totally open and profoundly in love..... the details, the crack in a sidewalk, the shape of a tree, the wind in the leaves, the souls animating them all in the constant state of worship that is their very being. It was the subtlety, the humor inherent in being, the endless artistry in the overlooked, the eyes of a child in the heart of a grown man. Every time I do this, it causes things to manifest -- on both sides. Needy desires are suddenly drawn to the source of Divine love like desert travelers to an oasis, and the love itself loops back in the form of selfless giving from other people, animals, God, nature, and every consciousness there is. This seems to be the easiest positive thing a person can do to directly experience how our states of being, who we are, and what we flow out to the world spiritually actually changes existence (and us too Just my 2 cents. Every time I do this it makes generally staying at 10% of this level all the time just that much easier and life in general just that much more positive, fulfilling, and filled with joy, energy, and an almost tearful acceptance at being part of the creation. It makes me want to sing, but I don't know any song so beautiful that it voices the Godsong that echoes throughout the Beloved in the heart of someone who listens.
