GRATITUDE: Words only or Action?

Dear KAS1 Sisters and Brothers:  I have something on my heart and mind that I

want to share with you.  I was fortunate to be able to attend the Winter Seminar

this past December, and during lunch one of the days I heard say that he

had gone to a casino before the seminar to gamble, in order to win enough money

to take care of some work on his teeth that needed to be done.  Fortunately, he

did win what was necessary to cover the needed work, but what bothers me is that

he had to resort to that to get dental work done.

Chrism gives unstintingly of himself and his gifts and wisdom without ever

asking anything in return.  The only charge is for seminar attendance, and that

probably barely covers the cost of the venue.  We all know he lives extremely

frugally, probably on less fiances than many of us do, yet each and everyone of

us has benefited from this website and his

personal experience with kundalini: he gives without ever charging, and each of

us receive willingly from him over and over, without reciprocating except with a

heart-felt " Thank you. " .  It is important to express our gratitude verbally, but

we need to do more for our beloved Teacher; we need to help in a practical way

by giving a donation of money.  If each of us (900+ now) gave only $5.00 a

month, that would add up to $4500.00 per month or $54,000.00 per year.  This is

only a decent income for someone who has made such a huge difference in our

lives!  There are some of us who might have ended our lives if we hadn't been

helped by Chrism!  And that help has never been connected to a price!  I for one

have looked at how I spend my disposable income, and I realize that by just

eliminating just one speciality coffee at Starbucks per month or one movie a

month will enable me to give those $5.00 to my beloved Teacher who has given so

much to me.

Will each of you pray about joining me in giving at a minimum of $5.00 monthly

or more if you are able?   I promise you, you will be so blessed by doing so:

As a Christian who believes the promises of the Bible, I am going to include

just a few scriptures about giving whose promises I can tell you from past

experience have proven true in my life:

" Freely you have received, freely give. "   Matthew 10:8

" Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken

together and running over, will be poured into your lap. "   Luke 6:38

Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly

or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.  2 Corinthians  9:7

A gift opens the way for the giver and ushers him into the presence of the

great.

Proverbs 18:16

Thank you my sisters and brothers for seriously considering the welfare of our

beloved Chrism;  I know you will do the right thing.

Gratitude and Love   Diane

How about starting a pledge drive? Or is that tacky? Oh well... here goes

tackiness...

I would like to pledge $25 a month in appreciation of Chrism's generosity.

I was thinking a reminder email would be nice. If you need a volunteer for

friendly reminder emails, I volunteer. Of course, the reminder would only be

by request of the contributor.

I originally wanted to send $ monthly, but a month would fly by and I would

forget (sorry). So maybe there are others like me out there that need a bit

of a reminder.
