Guest guest
Hi everyone! I'm Tonya, and I'm new to the group. Basically, a little info about me: I'm 38, married with 2 teenage sons, live in Florida, work full time, go to grad school full time, and volunteer at a local crisis hotline. (yep, I'm purty busy) =) I have a Methodist background, but determined a while ago that it wasn't connecting with me, so I have begun to explore other paths. I began calling myself a Seeking Pagan... just because this is what I found to fit my appreciation of nature, animals, Earth, etc. However, I still have issues with acknowledging a " higher power " . This is due to the Christian upbringing. So, I'm still seeking, and I wanted to join to get some info regarding this particular belief you discuss here, and I'm sure I will learn a lot from this group. Thank you for accepting me in your forum, and I will share with you my own experiences as I learn about yours. ~Tonya

Guest guest
Hi Tonya, welcome to the group I am glad you have time in your busy schedule to join.. I also had a methodist background which didnt work, and after a search and ongoing Kundalini awakening, I have returned to Christianity (although I honor all paths and am deeply influenced by Tibetan Buddhism). I was always seeking the esoteric core of spirituality, and I returned to Christianity after Christ presented Himself to me in some powerful visions. It was difficult for me to acknowledge and surrender to a higher power, as I equated it with a denial of self and an act of personal disempowerment. I finally came to realize that I could never do life all alone, and surrender to Christ was my highest form of empowerment. This surrender was only possible as I deepened into the profound love and desire to serve me that Christ represents, and in that sense, I became the bride and Jesus the bridegroom. (I am saying this with deep respect for you wherever you are on your path, and with no coerciveness to embrace Christianity, simply as a sharing of something which is profoundly valuable, liberating and graceful to me). Guest guest
Hello Tonya: Where in Florida are you? I lived in Fort Myers for 16 years recently moved. Hope to visit this summer. chrism often says " there are no accidents- if you are here you are suppose to be here. " So welcome home... AS a group we are all religions and belief systems - we scan the world in residents and we are a diverse thinking community where we practice listening and sharing with each other. There are a number of sister sites that you might be interested in also depending on your needs. That will come with time. I always suggest new members read the articles on the main site www.KundaliniAwakeningSystems1.com And that you peruse the posts on this group site. There is much info on both. The message search is only working before March 2009. If you have any ?'s please feel free to ask. The group has members at all levels of Kundalini activation and those who are interested in activation. We learn from each other. Say hello to the beautiful state of Fl and if by the water please the next time you are near it - place your hand in the water and say hello for me - I am missing the ocean muchly.
