Guest guest
K family, I wasn't going to post for a while but I'm in a pickle. I'm not sure if this is a sign or a fluke BUT there was a very large gorgeous green/blue lizard on the concrete beside my truck driver door today. It's 40 in Miami right now and to be 31 tonite. I picked it up and moved it to the palm garden but worried about it the entire time I was gone on my errand. When I got back,I wrapped it in a blanket and left it snuggled in the fronds but it kept nagging me. Long story short,it's now in a cooler in my house wrapped in the blanket. What the heck am I doing - I have no idea how to care for it BUT something in the back of my head kept saying that if I didn't take care of it, how do I expect to continue to get blessings? I have to act in servitude and love to all creatures great and small (gee whiz.. I am a shaman wanna be for pete's sake!). Kicker is that I have a FEAR of reptiles (talk abut irony). I had an episode of being in lake with water moccasins coming towards me in a lake when I was 3 and have deep rooted fears now. So.. is it a sign or a fluke you think? Guest guest
Michelle, I don't think it's a fluke - I think it's normal and also a blessing. I love the way your own compassion rolled right over whatever fear of reptiles you may have had in the past. I salute you for the big heart that got you into this conundrum! Lizards are related to snakes and to dragons, both very auspicious visitors. Animals feel the flow of love and Kundalini within us and they are drawn to it. I wouldn't worry too much about the flow of blessings stopping. I think the flow of love from your own heart will continue to bring blessings to you. Is this big and beautiful lizard a candidate for becoming a pet/companion? If so, you'll need to quickly learn about lizard care, get some supplies from the pet store, visit the vet, etc. Animal companions come to us in unexpected ways. Back when I lived in New York, I often saw people walking their pet lizards in Central Park - sitting on their shoulders, atop their heads, etc. So lizards can be pets and companions. I myself have a soft spot for cats. Many outdoor cats come to visit our kitchen door, peering through the glass. They know we are cat-friendly. We say hello, but cannot take them in, alas. With six cats of our own, we already have territory issues. But we wish the visiting cats well and send them our love. Follow your heart on this one, and also confer with your family. Even if you and this beautiful lizard are only together for a short time, consider it a blessing from the Divine and take delight in the opportunity to serve. I think shakti has sent you a visitor and you have responded with love and compassion and service. You also have faced a fear...wow! you are blessed michelle. You will be led as to how to proceed. thanks you for posting this experience.
