I'm 27 years old and for the last 2.5 years, I've been involved in some very

deep emotional/somatic work. My mom passed away 2 years ago, my dad almost 10

years ago.

About 1 year ago, I had a spiritual experience resulting from the work. I began

experiencing myself as very deep, expansive space and my mind became very very

quiet. This condition eventually subsided, however, and soon after I began to

experience a dull ache in my forehead.

As the months went on, I would frequently pay attention to the spot in

meditation and it began to evolve. Suddenly about 4 months from the initial

experience of it, it became very active. I felt an expansive feeling in my head

that made me consider whether to go to the ER or a spiritual teacher. This

happened to be on a Monday when this one teacher was giving Satsang, so I went

with the spiritual teacher option. He is gifted and able to see energetic

occurrences, and said he could see what was going on. I was comforted by that.

In the next several months, I continued to pay attention to it and it would

continue to evolve. Pressure, tickles, buzzes, vibrations, drips, electrical

sensations, etc. Sometimes it would feel like I could feel electricity in

between hemispheres of my brain. I also experienced tingles & buzzes on top of

my head. It has come to feel like a dense liquid in my forehead that's very

dynamic and active. Often I would then pay attention to my whole body and my

feet, and my body would be filled with energy and I would begin to feel twitches

all over. The effect was most pronounced after smoking pot (tsk tsk). In fact,

the sensations of pressure in my head became so intense from the pot that I

figured this was the end of the road for that habit.

I joined a spiritual work school in Berkeley that made me quit. And I did, off

and on. However, during one of my " on " periods (this was after one of the

school's weekends), I had just taken a hit and was coughing. It was then that my

whole world departed from normality.

Suddenly, I felt a slight burning pain in a tiny spot on my my chest, to the

right of the breastbone. I then began experiencing vibrations in my body for the

first time (that wasn't a result of my conscious attention to my body). Left

side under my chest, then right side under my chest. My heartbeat was very

apparent, and irregular. The vibrations eventually settled on the left side. I

began to feel lethargic. The pressure in my forehead began to droop down into

the right side of my face (a stroke?!). I was also getting intermittent

diahrrea, and a feeling of congestion in the right side of my body.

I called 2 different spiritual teachers and got a hold of one. He said go see an

acupuncturist and rule out any medical causes. I saw an acupuncturist, who was

also a teacher in the inner work school. He found I had stagnant liver qi and

treated me for that. I felt like a million bucks and went and got some spicy

chinese food (tsk tsk). I didn't have any immediate problems from eating it, but

within a day or two I was feeling lethargic, diahrrea, vibrations on the left

(in my literal stomach, down my left arm). I got another treatment the day that

I was leaving for vacation in TX, and felt pretty good.

I got comfortable and one day ate some cookies, chocolate, beef jerky, soy milk.

Then the symptoms from hell returned. More than ever, I felt lethargic, intense

vibrations, my right side was congested and I felt my liver was inflamed. And it

felt like something was stuck in the right side of my head. I went to see an

acupuncturist in TX, and he treated me and I felt MUCH better. I was careful

about my diet the next few days (relatively speaking) and was intermittently

fasting to avoid discomfort. I still got intense vibrations after eating, with

some lethargy. I got another acupuncture treatment.

This time I was feeling pretty good again, and decided I would try to eat some

stuff and see what happens. I tried some goat cheese... no vibrations! I tried

it on a cracker, still no vibrations! I continued to eat this stuff, had a

couple bowls of salad and, because I was still feeling great, I opted in to some

spicy chili (tsk tsk). No repercussions... Then I woke up in the middle of the

night with sharp intestinal pains, left, middle, right, etc. The next day I had

an intense malaise. I had finally learned my lesson, and began mostly fasting in

earnest. I was going to give this matter some breathing room.

To make what could be a much longer story short, my symptoms were all over the

map. Digestive, vibrational, and then I developed a sinus infection from hell.

(Keep in mind that I *never* get sick) During this whole time, my forehead was

more active and I was seeing more energy -- Auras, etc. My right eye became a

bit blurry when looking at far objects. My right testicle began aching on and

off.

I got another acupuncture treatment, which made my testicle pain go away (thank

God). It was supposed to zap my sinus infection, but didn't. I began blowing out

bloody mucus at one point (my brother, a doctor, said this is normal for sinus

infections).

Last Monday, I went to see the first spiritual teacher again. He said a lot of

energy was coming off of me and that I would be dealing with some old pain, old

traumas soon. The next day, my solar plexus began hurting. Kind of an electrical

pulsing with pain in it. I also started to feel like the outline of my stomach

w/ a slight pain. Later that day, I had a tremendous emotional release involving

both of my parents. I probably cried for nearly 2 hours, which is unusually

long. Then, suddenly, I began to experience gas pains. Pains that would

originate in my solar plexus and seem to squeeze my stomach and radiate to my

back. 3 days later, I'm still experiencing these gas pains. I also had diahrrea

last night for the first time in a week. I thought I might have a hiatal hernia,

so I had a chiropractor perform a maneuver for that, but my symptoms persist.

So here I am. Sensitive digestion (though the vibrations have become very

infrequent) and gas pains. I realize this all sounds like I have some emergent

digestive issue, but again my symptoms have been all over the map. Vibrations,

solar plexus electricity, increased forehead activity (that began spreading out

to the right side of my head), intense emotional discharge followed by the

sudden emergence of gas pains. When I would pay attention to my solar plexus,

the rumblings would really pick up in intensity.

Another thing worth mentioning: When my girlfriend is sleeping next to me and

I'm feeling my body, her body will suddenly jerk. It has happened many, many

times over the last few months. My cat will also be laying with me and a part of

her will begin spasming (but she doesn't try to scratch it like an itch). My

body has been a live wire!

I am going to go the M.D. route as soon as my health insurance is approved.

Endoscopy, barium swallow, MRI, whatever it takes.

So is this NORMAL?! Is this Kundalini? It did not start at the base of my spine,

but my forehead obviously has some kind of emergent presence. Now that I'm more

open to the M.D. route, I'm starting to wonder if that's just a sinus infection

in my frontal sinuses! (A strange one, indeed.) The only other active chakra has

been my solar plexus, which I have previously experienced as a ball of

electricity with pulsing flash pains.

WTF!!! Please help me make sense of this! Is the energy just trying to move down

into my body and processing old pain and protective layers? Is it rewiring my

body to allow for expansion? Or I am just really fucking strangely acutely

sick????

Had another huge emotional release today, about 45 minutes of crying. Then I got

gas pains again. These gas pains are originating from the solar plexus area, but

they seem to radiate across my back and then fade away.

Yes, it sounds to me like you are experiencing Kundalini. It does not have to

start at the base of the spine - once K is active, she works wherever she needs

to work. It sounds like you are fighting against the experience (trying to get

" cured " , either energetically or medically), and this resistance itself may be

causing some problems for you.

I would strongly recommend that you read the safeties at

http://www.kundaliniawakeningsystems1.com/the-safeties.html and that you begin

practicing them.

Listen to what K has to tell you regarding your diet. It sounds like some foods

disagree with you - avoid them for now. Realize though that your dietary needs

could change at any moment and then change again. Just accept this and find

foods that work for where you are currently.

You can very rapidy turn around the nature of your experience from one of fear

and worry to one of joy and inner wonder. Take a look at those safeties...

Love,

David

Hello Marshall,

Its an Ajna activation. The sixth chakra has been activated and

though you havent beeen practicing a regimen for this to occur(?) it is that a

way is being provided for you to receive the gift frpom that region first. It

will open the other areas (chakras) as well the fourth or heart chakra being

next.

Was the school the Berkely Psychic Institute? Not one I would recommend.

Please find a way to calm yourself.

Stop eating spices of any kind. Spices release small amounts of energy that can

really play havoc with sensitive systems as your is at this time.

Please bring yourself to follow these safety protocols -

http://www.kundaliniawakeningsystems1.com/the-safeties.html

Where is your teacher in all this?

Are they guiding you in any way other than acupuncture treatments?

What about this " school " you mention and what were the studies about?

It all adds up dear friend so please a little more information about what you

were studying.

Please find a way to release your fears from dominating your thoughts about what

is occurring. Fear wont help.

Yes you can go the medical route but Kundalini isnt detectable by medical ways

and means and they will quite often give you a drug to cover symptoms rather

than getting to the heart and soul of a situation.

I feel your first intuitive choice has been the correct one. Your " habits " are

what have exacerbated the situation. You would do well to take a moment and

realize the teaching that is being given and then no matter how well you are

feeling to stick to a life living plan that takes out the spices and artificial

sugars, alcohol, drugs (recreational and otherwise) and anything else this

condition has communicated to you about what you should not be using.

So far it has been trial and error. Now you may wish to pay closer attention.

With the Kundalini it can get very irritated if a person constantly resists

these communications.

Looking forward to your response. - blessings - chrism

Sounds as if you are putting yourself thru unneeded ups/downs and pain. Easy to

see from the outside much harder when in the process.

My first thought when reading you was detox the body and go with bland foods.

And realize that any and all symptoms are K related.

Pick your course of action - like me you are looking outside yourself for the

answers- believe me I know how that is - it does not work -you do not need all

the teachers, the this the that - you have what you need right in your own self-

that being said - step back and look at what you have and are doing.

Find a course to follow and stick with it - I recommend the safeties here if you

so choose. If you start following these you may not need the doctors - you will

learn to balance and find the relief you are seeking. You asked for guidance and

there is plenty here. You will decide what to listen to and what to use.

I used to attribute all the aches and pains to Menopause I did not know of

Kundalini and now all aches and pains I attribute first to Kundalini and then

look at them more closely - it opens up a whole new way of thinking. A sharp

pain in the foot- oh yes - K is testing the area- stomache pain - oh no I ate

something that K does not want me to eat - twitches in the legs - K is having

some work done-- each little ache and pain is a reminder that we are blessed.

I like the many vibrations and little visits of K - it helps me to remember that

there is a process going on. It sounds to me you have a major processing going

on.

How lovely for you how blessed you are.

This is just my two cents - I just hate to see you suffer unnecessarily you are

at least up and walking about - if you follow the guidance you are being given

then you will continue to be able to do that and not have to go thru more

suffering.

We here in the KAS ashram know that the protocols of the safeties work - there

are many who can testify to this. But it is up to you to find your way - we can

suggest and we can encourage but we can not do the work for you. Oh how that

rings true for me also -

Chin up my friend - you were guided here for a reason - you have an opportunity

to open more fully to the divine - will you accept the challenge??

Blessings and may you find your path...with less pain and more joy ...

Hi Marshaal

Yes, It sounds like kundalini

I can related to much of your experience 2 years ago. I experienced many of

those symptoms burning in chest, solar, plexus, in the back.etc I also

experienced feeling electricity on my head etc etc

I have regulated some symptoms

I advise to read and start practicing the safeties.

In my case took me ages to find out was kundalini. I had to learn my own lessons

in a harsh way.

My best advise is to calm down and stop thinking you are sick and need to get a

cure or healing. In my case, things were always worse when I was thinking in

that way. I guess It is just fear and resistance.

Start to rise your vibrations in all possible ways. It includes watching what

you eat.

All the symptoms will come in the majority of the cases together with the

necessity to inner change and release of fears. If you need to forgive, or

process a certain pain etc etc do it!

I think you can put yourself in much confusion from healer to healer and from

school to school…they all will say something different!

DO not fear and you are not alone

Dear marshall

I am the same age as you and had a very similar experience.

I drew energy down from my crown that was intelligent and i

could see it moving down my body to each chakra like smoke.

One time i did it and it stayed on my third eye and then i

started to get visions and head pain. I had head pain, face pain

, face tingles head tingles like electricity, third eye ache

and pain and headaches. Entitys comming to me and talking to me.

Obviously casual pot use stopped hence forth. Also my

was blurry! still is a bit. Couple of trips to the optitions.

better than average eyesight.

I kept going to the hospital because i had kidney pains and i

was getting discharged with " not descript pain " . I had stomache

and gut troubles and stomache acid. This was for about 7 months.

I didnt know what it was but somehow found my way here and the

first i posted my kundlini started to rise from my spine. It was

as if it knew and was like " ok your in a good place now " . Then

i was running around like a headless chicken for a month with

all the amphetamine style thoughts and actions and swollen kidneys

like i was pregnant with twins LOL. For me Forgiveness thoughts in

prayer was like an antidote for the anxiety and fear.

the safties work and after a while they bring you to a certain

level. thats the only way i can describe it. they are like the

spiritual fitness routine lol.

to experience a dull ache in my forehead.

>

>

>

>

>

He said go see

an acupuncturist and rule out any medical causes. I saw an acupuncturist, who

was also a teacher in the inner work school. He found I had stagnant liver qi

and treated me for that.

>

> I got comfortable and one day ate some cookies, chocolate, beef jerky, soy

milk. Then the symptoms from hell returned. More than ever, I felt lethargic,

intense vibrations, my right side was congested and I felt my liver was

inflamed. And it felt like something was stuck in the right side of my head. I

went to see an acupuncturist in TX, and he treated me and I felt MUCH better. I

was careful about my diet the next few days (relatively speaking) and was

intermittently fasting to avoid discomfort. I still got intense vibrations after

eating, with some lethargy.

>

>

My right testicle began aching on and

off.

>

> I got another acupuncture treatment, which made my testicle pain go away

(thank God). It was supposed to zap my sinus infection, but didn't. I began

blowing out bloody mucus at one point (my brother, a doctor, said this is normal

for sinus infections).

>

>

>

>

>

It did not start at the base of my

spine, but my forehead obviously has some kind of emergent presence. Now that

I'm more open to the M.D. route, I'm starting to wonder if that's just a sinus

infection in my frontal sinuses! (A strange one, indeed.) The only other active

chakra has been my solar plexus, which I have previously experienced as a ball

of electricity with pulsing flash pains.

>

> WTF!!! Please help me make sense of this! Is the energy just trying to move

down into my body and processing old pain and protective layers? Is it rewiring

my body to allow for expansion? Or I am just really fucking strangely acutely

sick????

Last night I had a vegetable soup that contained tofu (spices though). I paid

for it with extreme fatigue, and pains throughout my digestive tract. This

morning, steel cut oats. No pain, but plenty of gurgling. (However, the gurgling

is frequently there no matter what -- when my attention is focused on my

abdominal area)

There has been a strong feeling of pressure in the right side of my head. It

encompasses my forehead, my right temple, right cheek, and right eye. My right

eye is sometimes blurred, sometimes cloudy, and sometimes feels like somethings

stuck in it. Often they will go away for a few seconds by rubbing it. There is

rarely pain, but it's often in my right temple and is typically a split second.

Today it last about 30 seconds, as a pulsing pain. In response, I laid down and

put my attention into the pressure. It moved around, buzzed, etc, did its thing.

Then I paid attention to the discomfort in my solar plexus, which pulsed as pain

and gurgling. Eventually I just laid there and relaxed. My girlfriend laid next

to me and fell asleep. Hey eyes started twitching, as did the rest of her body

(LOL), and all kinds of gurgling in her digestive tract.

So the pressure in my head and eye f***ery bugs the sh*t out of me. I start

researching into causes, which inevitably leads to brain tumors. But none of the

symptoms describe electrical pulsing or tingling sensations. :) Which sets me

at ease. At the same time, however, my ever-creative mind reminds me that I

could have a tumor that the Kundalini/energy/spiritual-whatever is interacting

with. @#%@#$

I realize I could genuinely have a Kundalini activation, but I know that those

on this forum are K-biased. I think I have to rule out other causes before I can

truly surrender. The digestive stuff is really getting to me. I haven't really

been able to eat for about 6 weeks.

The school hasn't assigned my a private teacher yet, due to my prior pot usage

(they don't want drug addicts in their school). But they're going to assign me

one shortly due to me cessation. The acupuncturist I've been seeing is actually

a teacher in a sister school, and did not think that what I was experiencing was

Kundalini. But, he still said it was possible. He's not exactly an expert, as

this particular school doesn't deal with K activation. They integrate Object

Relations Theory with various eastern schools and engage in open-ended inquiry

in order to refine the ego-personality so one can realize Essence or True

Nature.

The weekend before this happened, we were studying a particular aspect of

Essence that they call the Red. It is the Strength essence, and fills one with a

sense of capacity and power, and provides the fire for spiritual work. They say

it's located on the right side of the body, and coincidentally, the majority of

my issues are on the right side of my body. It seems quite provocative, but who

knows?

Anyway, thanks for all the supportive emails.

Does the pressure in the right side sound normal? (My girlfriend just bent down

next to me to get something out of the drawer, and said that she suddenly felt

pressure behind her right eye, and in her right eyebrow.) These signs are

strange, but reassuring.

pardon the following rant:

WHAT THE F*CK IS HAPPENING TO ME?! WHY CAN'T I EAT ANYTHING?! I F*CKING LOVE

EATING. I CAN'T GIVE UP FOOD!!!!! FIRST WEED, NOW FOOD?! WHAT THE F*CK AM I

GOING TO DO WITH MY LIFE!!!! WHY CAN'T I SEE CORRECTLY!!!! WHAT'S WITH ALL THESE

WEIRD PAINS?! WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY?!!!! I DIDN'T SIGN UP FOR THIS SHIT!!!!
