Anomalies

I had an interesting experience that I thought I would share this morning.

This only happens just before waking up in the morning hours or (rarely) if

sleeping during the day. While sleeping - but after some daylight enters the

room. (For me so far, anyway.)

 

I was conscious that I was seeing through closed eyelids. I see variations

of my room, but clearly, unlike what a person would normally see with eyes

closed (which might be faint light, but unable to detect physical objects.)

This time I had the attitude of curiosity - I was aware of what was happening.

Then I heard, " There is nothing wrong with you. You are just practicing your

anomalies. "

 

Once again - I'm wondering, " What are anomalies? " Another word I needed to

look up in the dictionary. I've heard of it before, maybe even here, but didn't

know what it meant. So, I go straight to the dictionary! Here is what I found:

 

Anomaly (plural anomalies): 1. Departure from the regular arrangement,

general rule, or usual method; abnormality. 2. Anything anomalous (being or

seeming to be inconsistent, contradictory or improper). 3. A measurement used

for any orbiting body, as a planet's angular distance around its orbit from

perihelion, taken as if viewed from the sun.

 

Perihelion: The point nearest the sun in the orbit of a planet, comet, or

man-made satellite.

 

Whoa! Thought you all might like to know that there is nothing wrong with

you - you are just practicing your anomalies! LOL!

I like that word, anomalies!

 

I'd like to share an experience, too.

 

Last night we had our monthly sweat lodge ceremony. I checked in with the fire

keeper and she told me she had already smudged the lodge out real good, but when

I asked if she had checked to make sure there was no light leaking in, she said

no, so I kicked off my shoes and crawled in and she closed the door behind me.

 

I sat waiting for my eyes to adjust, but they never did. It was all lit up in

there, with clouds of radiant white out the corners of my eyes, and orbs and

sparks of spirit lights moving all around. It was so bright in there that I

could make out the ribs of bent willows which form the structure of the lodge.

 

I laughed and talked to the spirits for a while, thinking they had just popped

in to say hi and then it would fade to dark and I could check for leaks, but no,

more kept crowding in. We'd had a different ceremony earlier in the day, and

many of those spirits had said they wanted to stay for the evening sweat lodge

ceremony. It looked like they were all in there already! Finally I just gave up

and called for the fire keeper to open the door. I told her she was going to

have to go in and check, that it was bright as day in there. She looked at me

funny, so I explained that the spirits have been telling me for months that

they're going to teach me to see in the dark, and this seems to be one of those

times.

 

She went in, came out a few minutes later, and said no leaks, it's totally dark

in there.

 

Anomalies. Teachings. Love. A rose.

The messages sent to any one of us are rightly meant for all of us. Our

connection of Kundalini (the connection to the Universal Truth of Love) gives us

a life of anomalies. Daily we walk carrying the water and chopping the wood

seemingly being like all those around us doing what is expected - saying what is

expected and thinking of what is expected.

 

But alas we are not of this world . And it occurred to me that not only are we

dealing with anomalies Kundalini activated folks ARE anomalies- we do not fit

the mold- we are not consistent with the norm. Most of us have been seeking

since childhood- we did not fit in we did not know why we saw things differently

or thought differently until now. We now see that the K was calling from afar –

calling us to be open to her grace and love.

 

We receive reminders that we are walking on a different path - a different set

of guidelines are being given to each of us. Our life is developing into one

where we will see from a new and contradictory view.

 

I want to thank all of you for showing that being an anomaly is a gift – and it

is a gift to share these anomalies with all of you.

Deb, Pretty cool, huh? You are not alone. About ten years ago, this used to

happen to me frequently upon awaking or during meditations. Eventually it

passed.
