Guest guest
After a healing ceremony yesterday, a woman and I were standing outside talking, soaking up the rays of the afternoon sun. I heard a loud droning approach and recede, approach and recede. My eyesight has been blurry again lately, so it took my friend to point out that a honeybee was flying up and down and all around me, taking its time, really checking me out. The sound was familiar, and it took me back to last month when I was cleaning up after ceremony. I was taking the rocks out of the lodge when I heard that same buzzing sound. My hearing isn't all that great, either, so I wasn't sure if it was a bee or a fly, and I didn't look, I just noticed it in passing, but when I heard it again yesterday, I recognized the sound. I remembered I'd heard the same sound in the wee hours of the night back in November, when I was camped out on a saddle below one of the larger peaks around here. It was a cold night and I had a campfire burning to keep me and my CoyoteDog from freezing. The sound woke me up. It buzzed around my head a couple of times before it flew off, and I remember thinking it odd that someone should be out flying around in the cold like that, in the middle of the night. The bee then flew over to my friend and spent a long time moving up and down and all around her, really checking her out. We talked about bees and the Goddess and healing. When the firekeeper came to put the rocks on for the lodge, she used three logs for the base instead of our traditional four. " That was the way the wood worked out, " she said, and mentioned the Goddess. " I'm all for the Goddess, " I replied, and I trusted what was coming through her since she was on the third day of her fast. When we circled to light the fire, I noticed several pieces of wood shaped in Venus figures and figure 8s. It took three tries before the fire would light. Bees and the Goddess. Venus and Shakti. Life's little miracles. Love all around. Peace, Shaz
