Guest guest
Hi Everyone: The Kundalini documentary has me thinking (oh no), but the reason for sharing this is my efforts to unravel my layers and continue within and outside of the surrenderings. I don't know if this a merely a personal issue or something that affects others as well. There are some objects which I don't photograph, they are that of ceremony. I don't think I could bring myself to photograph a person while in prayer for example. I would make for a horrible photo-journalist. This comes from somewhere very deep inside of me, and not a teaching brought to me from my parents nor upbringing. I would not imagine that there are not hard and fast rules to this; it is just a way of being that I carry deep inside. So, it has brought me to a place from where does this feeling stirs; what is the concern or fear? If I breathe deep into this, it comes down to the fear of something so vital and deep of such being misused, not understood, damanged, like having my breathe or life force cut off. It indeed a deep fear, and so I thought I would throw this out there while I try to get my head and/or heart around it so that I do not rest within its tracks for long. I wish to remain within the journey of surrender. Love & Misc Sharings: -Danielle
Guest guest
Sacredness is not so fragile in my feeling and understanding. It is as the power of the divine in its expression which is eternal. No human person can reach enough power to unsettle that imho. For myself it is always about teaching or offering a person another way to reach those inner places. If they choose not to partake this is ok. If they choose to deride or to chide my efforts this too is fine. I hear it alot from those who do not understand. The " Kundalooni " jokes or the " Kundalini Tortallini " noodle comments. Its all good really at least for me. The sacred aspect of what is occurring within me cannot be touched or even approached by such innocent meanderings of consciousness in refinement. There can be no hurt (for me) in giving of myself for the benefit of others. There can be no worse action for me except the denial of knowledge foods for those who may be starving for nourishment. This is merely how I see it and in no way represents an expectation or trend or standard for anyone to follow. In this we must keep our own counsel. -
Guest guest
The Hopi Indians have an important individual who is the " trickster " and among other things his role was to make fun of the sacred process so that no one took anything too seriously. He would pour pots of urine on those praying ... serious ridicule .. I think that it might be important to take everything seriously and nothing seriously. http://www.crystalinks.com/trickster.html The Coyote or/and the Raven, etc. are important symbols BlessU Sam , " " <> wrote: > > Sacredness is not so fragile in my feeling and understanding. Guest guest
Yes this makes sense to me...(i) needed to hear this to assist me from freezing in my tracks. It makes sense in so that I would deem it an honor to speak of my experience and speak of my personal journey in relation to Shakti through Chrism as my teacher...for my journey started through all doors labeled FEAR. I desire to hold the doors labeled LOVE open for others, and roll out the red carpet to help guide the way. It is a matter of me trusting in myself, whereas my mind has me thinking it's a matter of trusting others with my Self. Thank you for this reminder. Love & Appreciation. Guest guest
I think keeping the sacred things secret is rooted in us because of the fact that it has mostly been kept secret for all these thousands of years. In the beginning only chosen ones were allowed to know the esoteric inner teachings. We are all connected so even if it was kept secret by the few, it really wasn't. Also, the fact that many from way back were killed because of this knowledge of the truth coming out to the masses. This is still in our consciousness as a deep rooted fear of being found out and ridiculed as Sam pointed out or burned at the stake or something even worse. Just my thoughts. Just the thought of being filmed strikes terror in me. I have been filmed as an actor in a play before and this did not bother me. Just the thought of talking about sacred things to people other than here on the groups causes me fear. Although, it does just pop out of me naturally at times. Hehe! I think OMG! and then I panic! Guest guest
I feel sacred things like K and Siddhis were kept secret so that one should not misuse them for selfish gains. The sacred knowledge was imparted to those who would never use it for their selfish motives.Due to IT we know about different siddhis or psychicpowers but secret how to achieve them is known to only few.....shrikant ________________________________ danceswithcats999 <crazycats711 Thu, 28 January, 2010 8:36:21 AM Re: All things Sacred I think keeping the sacred things secret is rooted in us because of the fact that it has mostly been kept secret for all these thousands of years.
