Guest guest Posted January 27, 2010 Report Share Posted January 27, 2010 Between tonight's State of the Union address, a rapidly approaching work deadline and an intense conversation with a friend, I found my body zinging and my head ping-ponging with thoughts during tonight's meditation. I did my usual counting meditations and imagery to little effect. I visualized pouring all my worldly concerns into God's cupped hands and experienced a strong K surge, but even that, too, faded into monkey mind. Finally, I was able to still myself enough to get in touch with home base, the place where I go to get a reality check, and as I linked in, the words came through loud and clear, " Fear not. " Heat suffused me and my body relaxed, a loving calm came over me, and my worldly preoccupations shrank into proper perspective. I sang my prayer songs, and, rather than drawing in energy, I felt myself sending that reassuring message to each of the directions. I thought I would share it with you, too. : ) All around me, above me and below me: Fear not and bask in the Divine Love.
