Guest guest
Thanks, I do appreciate hearing about them. It inspires me to try to remember mine. I seem to need something shocking in order to remember them. When the morning alarm goes off, it startles any memories out of me. Love and peace to all, Pat
Guest guest
Hey Pat - I think that a lot of times our dreams are so shocking that we purposely try to block them out and not remember for that very reason. I remember about three years ago, mine were so upsetting to me that I started saying to myself before sleep that I did not want to remember them anymore! It took me awhile before I started allowing myself to remember again. I successfully blocked them out for awhile. The subconscious has a funny way of bringing the strangest things into our awareness. Ideas connect and try to form into a sensible story line. Images can come from anywhere - a fleeting thought, a glimpse from the television, a song in the background, an uneasy feeling, the collective unconscious or an inspiration. One thing sparks a subconscious memory of something that may have happened years ago and all of these things that don't seem to go together suddenly connect in sometimes, very, very weird ways! Now whenever I have those shocking, disturbing dreams I ask myself, " what are you trying to tell me? What are you trying to bring into my awareness? " The whole idea is to make the unconscious conscious so that we can look at it and solve problems and make necessary changes. That part is not always so much fun! Feeling anxious before going to bed makes for more anxious dreams and nightmares. This is all normal - at least I think it is! So I find that trying to get in a peaceful state when going to sleep by imagining peaceful images, places and thoughts helps to bring about more peaceful dreams. Then stating the intention to remember and receive Divine guidance before falling asleep. Setting the snooze and waking up slowly helps. Writing them down helps. Getting enough sleep helps because the longer we sleep the more we are in the dream state. Speaking of that - I really must get some sleep right now! Back to work again tomorrow! Hope this helps! Good luck! GCDeb
Guest guest
Hi Deb, Thanks for your thoughts. Actually, I didn't mean shocking in a bad way. I actually enjoy my dreams. I just have thought it would be a good thing to be able to be lucid during my dreams but when I am dreaming I don't remember that. So my subconscious keeps trying to remind me, like making giant brilliant colored dragons or making my dog swim under water for way too long for a normal dog, wierd things that even in my dream I know is wierd, but so far, I haven't become lucid. And like I said I usually don't remember my dreams at all. I will try to have the intention of remembering my dreams. And I am terrible about going to bed at night, so am always sleep deprived. I love staying up, and hate getting up in the morning ;-) Speaking of sleep, its midnight and I'm still up - Good night! Guest guest
Hey Pat - I'm glad your dreams are not shocking in a bad way! I have trouble with that lucid thing, too. Every time I come close to something like that, I get so excited I snap myself out of it! Danielle - so sorry to hear of your loss. As an animal lover, I also understand how you feel. Love to the K family! GCDeb Re Pat: I didn't mean shocking in a bad way.
Guest guest
Hi Pat, you sound a lot like me. I get all this weird stuff to help me become lucid and go OBE, but I don't get it until I wake up. I don't know if all the wierd stuff is for the purpose of giving clues that we are dreaming. I have fun dreaming them rather I know what the meaning is or not. LOL! I too, am always sleep deprived, staying up to late and and not wanting to get up in the morning. I had a really weird one this morning just as the alarm went off. I will have to post it before I forget.
