Guest guest
Dearest All: I've had a most beautiful realization. I have moved into a little cluster community (townhouse/patio home like village). Such is overseen by a Home Owner's Association and requires Board approval to plant anything that is above the fence line. I have felt a strong desire to plant a Desert Willow; so strong that I would say no to any other slow growing tree, which would be more condusive to the small space. But this has been so compelling and so I jumped through the hoops and completed the required forms. I was told that it takes 30 days to approve such. So, I went in speak with the Management Company to introduce myself and to ask if such could possibly be expedited with care in mind for the plant/tree given the desert temperatures. I discovered that the overseeing group is called " Mariposa " which excited me...for this means " butterfly " . The board approved my request in less than 24hrs. The gentle said he had never seen anyone so excited and hopeful about planting a tress. I wondered why the Desert Willow was such a strong pulling for me and then realized that this is exactly what my dog Willow was named after. And within this same realization, I came to see that I can continue with the Animal Assisted Therapy training with Willow. And although he will not be in my home, and I will miss his energy and personality dearly, he will be my pet partner, and together we can be a Pet Partner Team in the community care centers, while the tree version of Desert Willow graces me it's fragrance and beauty at my home, reminding me of Service above Self and Love in all things.
