Guest guest
Dear KAS Family: This post is NOT directed at those among us who are homeless, unemployed, on disability or Aid to Families with Dependant Children or to , Bradley or Catlin, who already give so much of themselves! Since my previous posts on helping seem to be ignored, I want to try again to inspire you to look inside yourselves and look at how you spend your disposable income to see where your might find a way to garner funds by eliminating something from your regular spending that you may not have considered. I'll use myself as an example: It is Lent; 40 days of self-examination with Jesus in the desert wilderness of Life. During this time it is common practice to give up something for the 40 days, an exercise in self discipline. My husband and I generally eat lunch every day at McDonald's. I have a Caesar salad with grilled chicken and 2 plain sundaes (no topping). I bring my own drink from home. The 2 sundaes cost $2.20 including tax. If I eliminate these 2 sundaes for the 40 days, I will have $88.00 extra to help our beloved Teacher! Think of it! I have been spending that huge amount of money on ICE CREAM! So, at the end of this month when 12 of the 40 days have past, I will donate an extra $26.40; (my regular donation is always done at the beginning of each month). Then March 1st I will make my regular donation again, and at the end of March, I will make an additional donation of $61.60. I will feel so much better by eliminating all that sugar, and especially by knowing that my love and gratitude for our Teacher is made more tangible both to me and to him. Dear sisters and brothers, please open your hearts and let our Teacher know that your gratitude goes beyond words. If you feel that I am being inappropriate in my request, or if you disagree with my passion in regard to this issue, please speak up and say so. As a matter of fact, I do want input from you! There has been very little so far. My love for each of you is only exceeded by my GRATITUDE for our Teacher. Diane

Guest guest
Diane, As for me, I would like to give alot of cash Chrism's way but I have lost my business,I am in bankruptcy, I owe IRS $65,000, and we wonder each month if we can make the mortgage payment. Whatever I can give I will at the time that I can afford it, but sadly, I am in very bad shape financially. If I lived in the Bay Area near I might be able to find ways to give of my service to him but I'm in Washington and the drive is 12 hours each way in a hurry not to mention the gas. Sorry if this sounds harsh. I would like to give but cannot at this time. Guest guest
Hi Diane, I shall donate again soon.... thank you for the reminder though. My husband just started back to work after being laid off for the winter, so we need to play catch up for a bit. BTW, I thought we were going to have a monthly reminder? Was it decided to not do that? Carla
Guest guest
The monthly reminder is set for the first Sunday of the month- I think we did not post this month because of the posts already here. I just checked it will appear on March 7. Yes times are tough for all I am not doing well financially and it does affect everything in one's life. I do so appreciate what members are able to offer. No one is expected to give - this is not a requirement and none of us who post and remind want anyone to give at the expense of themselves or their families. It is important to take care of yourself and families. This is a gift in itself. With Kundalini comes responsibility. The enthusiasm and dedication of the members when it comes to supporting chrism and the program is a blessing and is very much appreciated by myself and so many others. Please do not feel obligated or feel bad if you are not in a position to financially send support. By being here in the KAS community you are giving of yourself and that is worth more than any amount of $. Thank you all for being part of this family. Send your thoughts your laughter your concerns and send your love - all will be accepted in gratitude.
