Guest guest
Hari OM, Namaste, I have recently heard of John Crowder an evangelist helping the masses to get intoxicated on God with imaginary smoking of Jehovawana and drinking Godka (as in marijuana and vodka)and these people, some of them appear to be experiencing kriyas while in trance as do people when experiencing intence shaktipat. John Crowder is also offering 'Mystery Schools' with the following Operate in Trances, Raptures & Ecstatic Prayer Experience Physical Phenomena of Mysticism Get Activated in Creative Miracles, Signs & Wonders Understand & Access New Creation Realities Gain A Historical Grid of Miracle Workers & Mystics Be Activated in the Seer Realm, Prophecy, Spirit Travel Receive Open Heavens & Revelatory Understanding Access and Manifest the Glory Realm There are youtube videos too to watch of the intoxication from the evangelelism etc. Is this shaktipat? Is this hypnosis? Is this something else? Is this Real? Usually when I write something - as I write it I percieve the answers to my question, but here and now I do not. Guest guest
Jeremy, As far as I know, intoxicants like alcohol only foster the dark. Marijuana can have some positive attributes, but it can make you stupid. especially when you combine the two. Like says, the only plant that should be used for K activation is Yage. I have used mushrooms and Lsd and mescaline for out of body experiences, but would not reccomend their use outside of a trusted shamen or the like. The potential for auric damage is too great and then you would have no protection and the rest of your life would be basically insane. Trust only shakti within and use only your intuition to guide you. The people you speak of are being used and duped into a false sense of enlightenment. I hope you can see the potential damage that can be done if these ways are used. Guest guest
Have you ever heard of being " drunk in the Holy Spirit " I've seen it, I've been to many churches where they are dancing and speaking in toungues and all that stuff. It was pretty awesome, but as a kid a little terrifying. But it's real. Maybe that's what this guy is talking about? Guest guest
I have, that is the type of church I attended the whole year I lived in North Dakota. It was a Vineyard Church and was totally free in the Spirit compare to the Full Gospel churches here in Texas, although I am sure there are some around, but not here in Victoria. I have experienced that, being " drunk in the Holy Spirit " . LOL! Guest guest
I agree Pamela,I went to youtube to check him out and these guys did appear to me as bogus. The oj oj oj sound, is the same as I heard from that Todd Bentley character. His ministry is much the same, but maybe a little tamer. LOL! Guest guest
I suppose it could be real Laura, it is real in that it is happening. It just did not resonate with me. It reminded me too much of TV evangelist and their showy exaggerations. People are desparate for healings. IMO, it is their believing that is healing themselves. Guest guest
Thanks for everyone's postings. I always struggled with evangelism, could never quite put my finger on it, intellectually believing that for some it must be true descent of the Holy Spirit and for some a form of mass hypnosis. My own posting, and the replies I have received confirms in a concrete form my statement. It is a collective mass hypnosis, but for the odd chosen one it is an experience of the Holy Spirit. It seems clear healing is not from a minister, or an evangelical meeting, healing is direct from the Soul , or Shakti, or maybe from Grace, yes Grace and the Soul. Please forgive me if I am wrong, or have said anything offensive to an individual, I am a student with little or no wisdom. Guest guest
I think you hit it nail on too Jeremy. It is Grace, God's grace. To tell if this guy is fake is not for us, only God knows his heart and if he takes credit for all of this " healing " then he's not real. Simple. Guest guest
I was talking about his glossalia being fake. I don't know if he takes credit for the healings or not. I just watched a few of his videos. God's grace can come through anyone I would think. I read one article where this person was comparing him to Dr. Gene Scott, who was a pentecostal preacher who smoked and drinked and was into betting on horse racing. He, Gene Scott made fun of people who spoke in tongues. LOL! That is sort of what it appears to me that John Crowder is doing...making fun of glossalia with his obvious fake tongue speaking. Anyways, I loved listening to Dr. Gene Scott, when he spoke/taught it was something with meaning rather than meaningless chatter. Big difference! Guest guest
Speaking in tongues or glossalia can also be the simple expression of the soul !. There are different types of it .  I think this form of expression can be intense, powerful, profound and serve as expression of “the feelings.† When I am deeply connected in praying I can speak on it. I dont know what it means but know what “it feelsâ€. It is deep communication and so personal between me and spirit.    I believe that it can be powerful healing in this sort of language! . Do you believe in the power of the word said?, why not believe in the power of the feeling said?  The mind of course does not know what it is and is not interested to listen meaningless chatter.  The bible referrers to spiritual gifts speaking in tongues. If I am not wrong in Corinthians.  I interpret this including the capability of speaking in languages such Italian, French, Spanish etc  as well as other languages like glossalia which has different variations and in some cases can contain fire itself.  Monica --- El jue, 2/25/10, Laura <lo1o113 escribió: De: Laura <lo1o113 Asunto: Re: Sons of Thunder John Crowder A: Fecha: jueves, 25 de febrero de 2010, 09:40 am  Oh, I don't even know what glossalia means, LOL! Guest guest
Monica, Yes the bible does refer to speaking in toungues as a spiritual gift. It is also to be done in private, it is a very personal gift. If it is done in public, ie: church, it would be ideal if there was an interpreter. That person should speak up to deliver the message for the church. I did witness this a couple times at one church I attended. Amazing is what I can say about it! Expression of the soul is a great description. Laura , Monica <monikaeslava wrote: > > Speaking in tongues or glossalia can also be the simple expression of the soul !.
