Guest guest
wonderful idea ! thanks for the stimulating exercise:) i must admit i initially felt i would talk about the attitudes/virtues as i see them as a single entity much like the chakric system wherein love (my favorite) would be in middle (sushumna like) running through and connecting the others wherein on one end would be surrender (complete release) and at the other end would be trust (complete binding to). yet i feel strongly that its the alternate nostril pranayama & prayer. it lends me the ability to keep nostrils equal with greater consistency, thus regulating deeply the ida & pingala thus assisting the magnetic pull toward center/sushumana/light. Furthermore, i find that as i inhale i find spontaneously arising an appropriate thought/word/feeling which feeds me with greater satisfaction (not always doing the formal prayer part). if i wish to enter a lunar/idic/parasympathetic state i sniff through left nostril and so gives a feeding for my mind..... for solar/pingalic/sympathetic/worldly states (feeds the body) i pull in as appropriate through right nostril...i feel it could likely lead one into self-mastery literally through the touch of ones own finger tips! i'm even fairly used to practicing/regulating (in occulted way) in public. its that good to me even if i may look peculiar i say i'd rather feel good than look good:)) tim fitch
Guest guest
I don't think I could pick just one, for they are all intertwind and serpentined. But if did just pick ONE, I would choose L*O*V*E. Love is in all things...it's the platform and foundation, the inspiration, and the star gazing. When I choose love, I choose Self, I choose the Divine. And if I pick off the petals of this beautiful and fragrant rose (Love), each petal is one of the Safeties. I choose LOVE, without condition. Guest guest
, What a great question! Love. To lose myself in love, to surrender to the Goddess as love, to love so much that it aches, to throw everything into the fire of love. To experience the Love of the Divine (and all Her manifestations) rising within me, consuming all in Her path, engulfing and eclipsing all. She will do the safeties as me if only I give in to Her Love and allow myself to drown in it completely, surrendering everything! Bhakti anyone? It's a trick question and also a trick answer, since to surrender to love to such a degree presupposes all the other safeties while simultaneously bringing them to be. So if I had to pick one, love it would be! Love, David

Guest guest
When I initially thought of this I thought I would choose " LOVE " then I realized I would choose " GRATITUDE " With gratitude I am humbled by all creation around me. By being grateful I am showing my profound love for all the universe. With gratitude I am in the state of love at all times. I would bow to the universe in gratitude for all that I have, all that I am and all that will be gifted to me. Guest guest
Hmm, I wonder why no one thus far has jumped on SURRENDER. LOL. But I suppose we cannot truly choose any of the Safeties fully without Surrender. -Just a side thought; a philosopher I am not. Hence, why I cannot just choose one; they are truly intertwined, at least in my mind. I'll pick this one, and this one, but wait, what about this one. Perhaps they are not to stand alone, for I experience them as a rainbow and something for myself anyhow to be gathered into a bushel. This makes my brain hurt. LOL. ~Danielle , " " . wrote: > > > > When I initially thought of this I thought I would choose " LOVE " then I realized I would choose " GRATITUDE " With gratitude I am humbled by all creation around me. Guest guest
Yes the safeties are all intertwined and I am sure if we had to choose one we would find a means to work with all of them around the one choice. I find there are so many more traits that can be added to the list. We here bring up new safeties often- for there are so many ways to describe our living deeds. I found the ones below - these seem to me to be good additions to the safeties and I am certain there are more we could add. Is there one safety that is the foundation and all others build on this?? Which one would be the base - any or all of them?? Can one be lived and incorporated into our self without the others?? # Light-hearted # Leader # Expert # Brave # Thoughtful # Keen # Happy # Simple # Excited # Studious # Inventive # Creative # Thrilling # Independent # Intelligent # Compassionate # Gentle # Wild # Neat # Joyful # Strong # Bright # Courageous # Funny # Humorous # Light # Unselfish # Self-confident # Respectful # Considerate # Imaginative # Fun-loving # Successful # Responsible # Dreamer # Helpful # Humble # Friendly # Adventurous # Hard-working # Bold # Cooperative # Lovable # Ambitious # Able # Quiet # Curious # Reserved # Pleasing # Witty # Tireless # Energetic # Cheerful # Smart # Loyal # Daring
Guest guest
I thought about this question for a while and I think I would choose TRUST. For me, trusting in how things unfold in its own perfection is basic: Trusting in God and the Spirit Trusting in the Divine Energy of Kundalini Trusting in the voice of my higher self Trusting in the power of Love and all the Safeties Trusting in the perfection of how my future unfolds Trusting in the perfection of how my past has brought me here as I am Trusting in the lessons I have yet to learn that brings me closer to God I notice that when I find myself within my ego, within fear, anxiety, anger etc. I am not trusting. And when I am in that state, I am not allowing all other Graces to shine through. This is what I need to work on most. Love Mary .. - " " . Guest guest
I agree Danielle, they are a package deal, one cannot be without the others. I could not make the decision of just one, so I did not reply. I am seeing it sort of symbolic as us, as the one being, we can not experience compete wholeness, until we can all experience it all together. As we experince these as a whole our wholeness is realized. I will take surrender, but I know it takes all the others for surrender to take place. Hehe! Guest guest
OMG, I didn't realize there was more than 'The Practices'. Gulp, Love, Surrender, Trust, Inner Joy, Food Choices, Movement, Honesty in addition to what is mentioned in 'The Practices'. How come nobody picked Food Choices? lol. Thanks for the reminder. Have been practicing most of the day with , " I love ..word.. " I love repeating " I love ..word... " , especially if the reverse pops to mind. gale

Guest guest
Namaste Sparrow flying through. Sending heartful hello and warm embrace to One and All. I have wintered in silence and contemplation as the weaving and work with my teachers continue. Life is good. It will be nice to hear how each of you are doing and trust that K Ma has held each of you near and dear. To answer the question; If i had to choose one practice for the full embodiment of KMa i would have to say---- Surrender. It seems to me surrender is the umbrella which makes everything else possible. With true surrender the " doer or the one that can claim I am doing " has become subservient and with that Divinity will express all that is needed and possible for each moment with love, one-pointedness, purity, and clarity. Love and blessings Sending each of you a big hug! sparrow , " " . wrote: > > If you had to choose one safety to practice for a year - what would it be??? Guest guest
Hi Sparrow Welcome back. And yes, to simply allow the surrender into the Divine, and the extraordinary freedom which it brings, is a wonderful miracle.. blessings to you dear friend Bruce , " Ordinary Sparrow " <ordinarysparrow wrote: > > Namaste > > > > > Sparrow flying through. Guest guest
Linda, Danielle, , Edgar, Shrikant for the kind words. You all bring big smile to my heart. First let me apologize for flying off and not checking out in an honorable way. I am sorry dear friends. It was during Fall migration with Winter coming i was pulled into a world down under and was faraway. The first inkling of Spring appeared this morning as a morning dove landed on my 7th floor window ledge and perhaps her sweet coos reminded me of my dear K brothers and sisters, for soon after her visit made my way back towards the lovely K nest. Short update: it is soon to be eleven years of the intense work with my teachers from India which has require me to lie flat for the weaving to take place. To be honest there is tiredness. But most of the time there is just witnessing as i hold to the center in stillness. Mercy! Mercy! the path KMa has been challenging at times and often i do not share personal experiences; my path has been so darn farside of left on the already esoteric path less traveled of K Ma. Mainly i hesitate to share because i live so much of the time in complete unknowing and as the years and days progress there is a shrug of the shoulders and silence if i try to express the demands and physical realities of the journey, yet always just below any challenge there is a giggle that leaves a fool's grin on my lips in the deep knowing of grace and gratitude for the allowance of KMa and opportunity to serve that which is greater. Thanks for allowing me to chirp abit and feel the Ma's love as it flows from my heart to each of yours. Truly each of you are blessed and blessing; i have deep faith K Ma is bringing blessing into the world through each of you as carry Her into the world with goodness, light, and healing each day. Much love and honor sparrow > > > > Sparrow flying through. Sending heartful hello and warm embrace to One > > and All.
