Guest guest
If I had to choose just one food it would be WATERMELON! Yum! How many ways can you eat watermelon? Hehe! I think I would be trying some new ways of eating it. How about watermelon soup for dinner. Slice off a piece, rind and all and juiced to mush, add some salt and cayanne pepper and heat it up. In no time you will be blowing fire out your nostrils and hair standing on ends. How about pickled watermelon rind? or watermelon salad? just shave off some rind to be the lettuce/greens and dice up some mouth size peices and sprinkle on some crushed up watermelon seed. Does that sound good? I wonder what roasted watermelon seed would taste like? After straining off the juice to drink, us what is left, air dry it to make watermelon jerky to snack on... add a little salt for flavor. Or make some sweet gummy watermelon chews. Anymore ideas? Guest guest
Just back again after eating my dinner. If watermellon was the only food to be eaten it would mean hardly any work for me before we would all sit down to eat...lol! I would choose watermellon too. I love it! The watermellon in Brazil was the most delicious I ever tasted. You folks porbably get that sweet sort when in season but here I think we must be getting the GM ones. Love your ideas. Can't think of any new ones except maybe Watermellon icecubes to pop in the fruit juice! Guest guest
, if you try any of those ways of eating watermelon let me know how it came out. I have not tried any of those, they just came to my busy mind while I laid there awake all night last night. I hope I can sleep tonight. LOL! I did think of another I forgot to mention. I was wondering if one could dry the watermelon seed and then pop them like popcorn. Ah! James is going down way south tomorrow and is going to look for a vegetable/fruit stand to buy me a watermelon and some other veges. He bought me one from there a week or so ago and it was really good and it only cost $4. The grocery stores have them here for $8 dollars and they are all rotted inside. I had bought one a few weeks ago and the next morning it had exploded a hole and spewed sour watermelon juice all over everything and I lost the receipt and could not get my money back.
