Guest guest
Thanks Tim, being a christian that resonate with me. Last night I was doing some research for Nitin's documentary and found a article on Scribd.com about kundalini in the Islam religion. It was a very interesting articles/booklet. The following passage spoke of the Ouroboros and what it means. @@@ Salaat-The Kundalini Yoga of Islam The boats of Ra are symbolic. The great priests of Ra in ancient Kamit (Egypt) never thought an actual boat flew across the sky. They knew that the apparent movement of the Sun influenced the nervous system in predictable ways. This movement was symbolized as a boat floating across the sky or flowing through the river (symbolic of the human blood system) of the Tuat and in other literature as floating through the celestial ocean called Nut. Behold! In the creation Of the heavens and the earth; In the alternation Of the Night and the Day; In the sailing of the ships Through the Ocean For the profit of mankind; In the rain which Allah Sends down from the skies, And the life which He gives therewith To an earth that is dead; In the beasts of all kinds That He scatters Through the earth; In the change of the winds, And the clouds which they Trail like their slaves Between the sky and the earth -- (Here) indeed are Signs For a people that are wise. -- Quran 2:164 Yusuf Ali Translation The " ships " referred to above represent the same principle as the Egyptian boat of Ra. The Tuat was depicted as a circle made of the body of Osiris. Osiris is pictured in a yoga pose with his legs bent behind him so that his feet touch his head. This hieroglyph represents the sealing in of the Ra force energy so that it flows in a cycle. This is the advanced microcosmic orbit of the Taoist yoga which circulates the Chi (salaat) energy in a cycle. The Egyptians depicted the same process by showing a snake curved with his tail in his mouth. The snake is the creative serpent power (kundalini). The tail in the snake's mouth represents the closing off of any passage for the energy to leak out via mudras and bandhas which are learned and practiced in yoga. The circle also represents the circulation of the Ra/salaat force. The snake is usually shown encircling the Sun disk as a sign that the sun is the source of the salaat/kundalini energy. To me this was a confirmation about the vision I had yesterday, plus it explain it's meaning to me. I knew about the Ouroboros somewhat, in that it was a circle and circles represent God. @@@@ The article goes on and speaks of the feet and the purpose of footwashings/massaging that is spoken of in the bible and the Quaran. When does a in person shaktipat, he does a type of massaging of the feet. It also speaks of the importances and reasons of fasting before receiving shaktipat. I recomend the reading of the article. It would be a good aritcle to be place in our file section, but I don't think there is any room left. http://www.scribd.com/doc/25053139/Salaat-The-Kundalini-Yoga-of-Islam-Kundalini Linda , " rockanandadad " <rockanandadad wrote: > > dear danceswithcats, > > thanks for sharing your meditational vision! quite inspiring:) > > just wanted to share a thought regaurding feet/tail to head idea. > mystically, the feet are picean/neptunian=spiritual yet the head(usually) is not...we are upside down as spirit enters flesh (perhaps bats are smarter than we think as they hang up-side-down which is likely right-side-up?)...further the saturn/mulhadara chakra is the 'lowest' or ?meekest in biblical terms?...thus when the lowest or last is brought up to the highest ajna/sun chakra, then exaultation occurs=kundalini...the last becomes first kinda' thinking (many meanings on that one though)...bottom line is perhaps you are going There (up!) or already are now? >
Guest guest
Linda, Whoa! I haven't read all of it yet, my kids are running around, hard to concentrate here, but wow there is alot of good stuff in there, thanks for finding it! Something I had read before had stated that it was possible that the survivors of Atlantis spread out into Egypt, and Central Americas...where the Mayans started there and spread out. So I would agree that the source of religions started with Eygpt, but I think they started in Atlantis..if that makes sense. The Mayans used to do human sacrifices where they would " offer " the heart to God and toss the body. It makes sense to me that God does want our heart, but not in that way. I think we are getting closer and closer to realize what it is that the Universe/God/Spirit wants from us. Our hearts! And it's a wild ride, but if we can make it to the other side of the river via ship, it is great! I'm gonna have to read this stuff! God Bless you Linda, you are awesome!
