Hey,

Just rambling here and pondering over things that have been coming up before the

upcoming Shaktipat. Yes, have been practising the safeties too :)

Lots of things have been surfacing the last week or so, and I've done my best

not to fall into the drama of what's being brought up, or get caught up with the

exaggerated fears.

Throughout my Kundalini process I've found that my biggest issues and emotional

blocks have revolved around my social-anxiety. It's been a stumbling block. I

don't know why, but I've always been naturally intimiated by people. I can't

seem to stand up for myself and confront others without becoming emotional or

teary. Yes, I understand people won't bite me, but my body and emotional system

behave like they will. A lot of my anxiety and fear comes about because I am

worried about how I am going to cope in life and whether or not I am good

enough. At the same time K is trying to get my body/mind/whatever to resolve

this and surrender it. Which I do in little bits and pieces. Sometimes I feel

like it's not enough, but I need to tell/remind myself that it's good and it's

the right pace. :)

I'd have to say that I have a tendency to escape away into my mind if things get

too much, and I do become fearful when I ground and try to become present. Maybe

my body fears that everything will rush to surface if I am here and grounded

into the present, and am committed to being here no matter what happens. I guess

I don't trust that I am 100% safe and loved and yes the universe has my back. My

mind keeps bringing to surface instances where this hasn't been so.

The issues that I have gathered to myself this life have caused me to become

quite isolated and shut-off from everyone. A hermit in many ways. I don't feel

comfortable opening up to people around me and do keep a lot inside. I don't

'feel' a connection to people because I've created a lot of armour.

Intellectually I get things, but emotionally I don't feel them. I feel quite

apatheic or detached from the world in a large sense. Existing, but not really

living.

I am still attached to my story in ways, but am slowly surrendering bit by bit.

Sarah

Hey,

Since it's day one of the lead up to Shaktipat. I'm just going to do a little

entry of my experiences so far today.

I practiced Tibetan one this morning. It was fun, but I also became very dizzy.

I followed this up with chakra-breathing into my root chakra. I've also been

bare foot all day today, keeping my feet connected to the Earth. And have been

doing some of the safeties.

I've had a few things surface that have caused anxiety today, but for the most

part I have been surrendering to it. I've also kept surrendering any other

thoughts, memories and fears that have been brought to my awareness. I'm doing

my best to forgive myself.

Something I noticed today when reflecting is that I seem to be addicted to the

thought that I have 'no-energy to expend'. It's because I always feel quite

fatigued and my mind has turned this into a excuse, in ways. Not trying to beat

myself up about it because I know that when you have anxiety issues your body

does become hyper-sensitive and does cause the adrenals to overwork, leading to

nervous system exhaustion - emotional, spiritual and mental. Umm, although I do

feel slightly frustrated because of it, I think.

Anyway, the opportunity came up earlier today to take-part in a meditation with

the focus of sending healing/love to Mother Earth. Immediately I thought to

myself ... I can't do that.. I don't have the energy or focus to do it right

now.

Another thought popped into my head right after it. It suggested that you need

to trust source/god/goddess to provide. Which I don't fully, I guess. I am not

really opening myself up to trust source. I'm not letting go of my control.

Sensations I am feeling today are buzzing in the feet, warmth in the belly

(inner-fire), sluggishness around the head and some tingling. And a slight

congested feeling in the throat.

Sarah,

Just to clarify a few things. You should do all of the 5 Tibetans in a session

(not just one) with each Tibetan being repeated the same number of times. Chrism

recommends starting out at 3 repetitions for each Tibetan in the one session and

increasing the number of repetitions as you become used to doing them. Yes, the

first Tibetan will make you feel dizzy - the dizziness decreases over time.

Chrism also does not recommend doing the chakra breathing outside of the actual

7 day shaktipat. This is a general recommendation and there are instances when

an individual's Kundalini situation requires or desires chakra breathing as part

of the K process. You can of course do the 5 Tibetans now without waiting for

the shaktipat.

Hi,

Okay thanks for the information. :) I was just following the instructions that

focus on a chakra each day and you slowly building up the rites and chakra

breathing. E.g. Day one is the root. Day two is the sacral and the root...

Day two

-------

I woke up around 4am this morning. I had energy all over my face (tingles,

warmth, webbing), that's the first time that's happened - ever. I don't think I

had overly pleasant dreams last night. I also don't remember them, I just recall

the feelings of it.

I've noticed that as I've become more present to the feelings of fear surfacing

within in me, the more it seems to come up. I'm taking up the suggestion that I

should name the feelings as they come up e.g. 'desperation, fear, anxiety,

nervousness'.

I tried practicing some of the rites this morning. I was in the middle of rite 1

when I noticed that people were tiling the roof next door and were looking in

through the window. Mortified, I shut the blinds... unfortunately that put me

off the practice and I need to go re-do it sometime today.

Hi Sarah, I think you may have miss understood. The instructions that were given

the other day is for the Shaktipat week which doesn't start until the 21 first,

for now during the scatterfield and all days actually we do only the T's and the

Safeties daily. The chakra breathing is just for the Shaktipat week itself.

Day three in the lead up to Shaktipat.

I practiced the five rites this morning, but then felt compelled to do a few Sun

Salutations too. I'm feeling a bit achy in the chest area right now and still a

bit icky in the throat. I'm still actively surrendering any thoughts,

self-criticisms or fears that surface. I'm also holding the intention to

surrender my need to strive for and control things.

I seem to be craving sweet things the last few days, so am just eating more

fruits and such. And am drinking a lot of water.
