Guest guest
namasteji Dom, kriya is about self effort, its root shares a tie with root of word karma...thus kriya means sorta' spiritual action made with intent....neither kriya nor enlightenment can be given, it is about self overcoming self...yes initiations and blessings and darshan and shatipat, etc. can be given, but are they maintained...a 'boon' or lifting up of another is tricky business for the ultimate yoga posture/asan is maha asan where you are independant by self....self independance...don't worry about not getting anything from another...not that its not possible, its just that kriya is a wisdom path not a bhatki path...its about self-responsibility...yet, only once one is self-responsibile can one help another...can't give what one does not have...ego wants, yet kriya yoga and all wisdom paths are about getting rid of desires/needs...be self fullfilled !!! satisfy your souls eternal quest and just go in to the reality unchanging...everything out here in solar/manifest realm is in change...truth can never change...find the part of you which never changes (atma/sprit/etc.) and you will know reality...the kingdom is within (only). things are never as they appear, nor commonly as believed...neither have much to do with reality. shanti,  swami p....tim ________________________________ dominik.login <dominic.login Fri, March 12, 2010 2:16:43 AM Re: Kriya yoga  Thank you Richard and all other respondents, This is the thing that bothers me. I have checked a couple of groups offering kriya yoga tutoring, and usually it takes some time to receive the initiation. I don't necessarily have problems with that - they usually have a set of exercises and meditations to go thru and I see it as a good way of deepening my daily practice. The problem is the best known " schools " are not available were I live, so I would have to take a home study course, and given my zero experience in yoga I don't know how effective it would be. Then there is this initiation aspect. Could anyone shed some light as what it is? A type of shaktipat maybe? Many thanks, Dom Kundalini-Awakening -Systems- 1 , Igor Alphus <Alphu-s > wrote: > > > Hi there...well SRF Self Realization fellowship is a way to go...but it will take you maybe 2 yrs before they give you the ''Intitiation' ' for the Kriya.... > > Next is Kriyananada he was in the SRF movement it may take you 1 yr here to get the Initiation.. ....this organization is much more savy with internet use and information than SRF. > > The quickest route is to look up " Yogiraj'' he will give the Initiation in a weekend..... ...i have met him and trust him...at times you can see thro him.
