Ironically I have a neice by this name and my sister is doing the painting of

this poem, I finished it today...here it is!

Sophia

Gossip spreads like wildfire,

Wisdom spreads her wings and flies through it.

White as snow she takes her flight,

silent as gold, quick as silver,

piercing through the flames.

Like the phoenix, she rises,

leaving the ashes behind,

not everyone hears her,

not all see her.

Black as ebony

dark as the night,

the roar of a Tiger,

taking on new heights.

As she dives beneath the waters,

immersed in the river of life,

she surfaces transparent as the ghost,

clear as the teardrop rolling down your cheek.

Dancing with the wind in open meadows,

with a spirit as free as the wildflower,

her boundless faith is as high as the sky.

Spiraling backwards with a smile across her face,

for she is the vibrant colors of the world,

God's promise for amazing Grace.

This was beautiful Laura. I especially liked the line 'her boundless faith as

high as the sky' it mad e me think of a how a child's faith is like that. So

simple and pure-yet so expansive.

:)
