Guest guest
It is 6.30pm here so our St Patricks day is drawing to a close. I have had a lovely day which began at 3 am this morning when I drove my oldest daughter to shannon airport to catch a plane to Scotland to meet her boyfirend for st patricks day. My two hour journey home was filled with joy as the morning light moved over the darkness and I welcomed another new day to praise God. Birds were everywhere and so many flew over my car and criss crossed my path... One large crow flew next to the car all the while I drove through one of the villages. Birds and trees embraced sky's new morning light...Sometimes my car becomes a prayer bubble and so it was in the early hours of today. I am going out agian now but wanted to share with you an Irish blessing on St Patricks day...it is sent to you with humour but with sincere wishes and blessings and much much love to you all. An Irish Blessing... ....As you slide down the Banister of Life May the Splinters never point the wrong way Love Julia.
Guest guest
And Top 'f the eve to you dear Julia.-- Being part Irish I find the blessings very meaningful. I invent my own - and love the connection to the ancestors. Names in my ancestry background Joyce/Hartman/Clark peasants and farmers with a touch of aristocracy - the fighting for justice kind. I honor your country and your people - kind loving and so hardworking. God blessed the Irish with many lifelong blessings. And the one that I cherish most is Julia Amelia. Love to you on your St Paddy Day!!! e
Guest guest
dear Julie. . . This morning after meditation i thought about it being St. Patrick's Day. It is a full day of celebration and parade in the city i live in. The Irish in me gave honor to the Irish within and without by reading a John O'Donohue early morning. Your day reminded me of the poem i read this morning and the dual faucet of the poem. On Waking I give thanks for arriving Safely in a new dawn, For the gift of eyes To see the world, The gift of mind To feel at home In my life, The waves of possibility Breaking on the shore of dawn, The harvest of the past That awaits my hunger, And all the furtherings This new day will bring. John O Donohue And thanks for the Irish Blessing this day. lol! love and light sparrow , " Julia " <jajahern wrote: > > It is 6.30pm here so our St Patricks day is drawing to a close. > I am going out agian now but wanted to share with you an Irish blessing on St Patricks day...it is sent to you with humour but with sincere wishes and blessings and much much love to you all. > > An Irish Blessing... > ...As you slide down the Banister of Life > May the Splinters never point the wrong way > > Love Julia. >
Guest guest
Thank you ...joyce and clark are big county cork names...we have a clarks bridge here... sometimes clark is spelled with an e as in clarke... there were some prominent rebel fighters called clark and Joyce too... Hartman is not so typical so that name would be easier to trace if you were interested in finding out about your ancestors...The 1911 cencus is available here free on line and is a fantastic sourse of info... oops sorry if this is way way off topic... love julia , " " . wrote: > > > > And Top 'f the eve to you dear Julia.-- Being part Irish I find the blessings very meaningful. Guest guest
Cool! My O'Collins/Collins side is from Co. Cork, emigrating to Savannah, Georgia in the mid-late 1800s. Would love to come see Eire someday! Had a lovely St. Patrick's Day, nice feeling Irish for one full day! LOL Didn't get to make my annual Soda Bread this time...darn it, just too much going on plus I've been sick. But next year it's right back again. Love to you, Julia and very green blessings with lovely rainbows attached! Valarie , " Julia " <jajahern wrote: > > Thank you ...joyce and clark are big county cork names...
