Dream Lesson 1

On second thought, I will share this one only with you because I don't want

everyone knowing where I work.

 

 

Background: For 30 years, I have worked at a car dealership. We doeverything

from selling new and used cars, to service work, to bodywork, to supplying

parts. Whenever someone comes in for servicework, without exception, the ones

who are the happiest are the ones whoare supplied a " loaner vehicle " while their

own vehicle is beingrepaired. Because of the cost involved, the mileage

incurred andthe insurance liability, this is not always possible.

 

Dream: I was at the entrance of the service department. Althoughfor some

reason, it was on the other side of the building. I hadlined up several loaner

cars. Every time someone would drop theircar off, I would give them a loaner

car and send their car back to theshop to be repaired. I told them, " From now

on, just come see meand I will make sure that you have a loaner and can go on

with yourlife while your car is being repaired. When you come back, youcan have

your car back and it will be fixed! " The people werevery happy. I stood there

and went through the process, takingtheir car, sending it to the back, giving

them the keys to the loaner,and letting them go. Then they would come back and

I would takeback the loaner, and give them their car back - completely repaired.

The customers were very happy.

 

Lesson: People think they are happiest when they can keep " going andgoing and

going " without ever having to be inconvenienced. Maybethe reason we cannot

always " get a loaner " every time that we " need tobe fixed " is because we are not

supposed to keep " going and going andgoing. " (Following the directions of the

human ego.) Sometimes, Higher Intelligence gives us no choice but to rest

andremind us to love and nurture that which cannot be replaced. Andlisten to

another Voice, other than the one that thinks that it needsto just keep " going

and going and going. " The one that whispersto us only when we stop, rest and
