Guest guest
I understand Jeff and yes the safeties as a stand alone practice are very effective. Most seem not to be able to do one aspect or another though. Selfless service is one that is often skipped. The programming areas are also often skipped. IJ or the inner joy is often skipped. Nice to read that you are able to do the entire practice! As far as the gifts that come with the Kundalini I see them as major classrooms of experiential teachings in and of themselves. Being able to survive extremes of temperature that would kill most other people teaches one the extraordinary qualities of what these gifts are offering and they also can highlight some information about the nature of divine interaction upon the body physical. This is turn can give one knowledge based in experience about the unlimited potentials of the human body within the Kundalini awakening. The skills go on and on and from the teachings of these skills are we able to discern that they are gifts of the path but not the goal of the path. Either way though they are to be experienced and learned from. This is what many of the " masters " miss in their admonition against the use of exalted skills brought by the Kundalini. What I feel they are really saying is to not get addicted to these skills rather then never using them. But through time misinterpretation and secrecy the teachings became a bit warped. imho. With Kundalini comes skills whether one wishes it or not. Often one isnt even given a choice as to whether or not these skills are to be used as they are thrust upon a person! I suggest that we take the teachings given and merely not get addicted to control over others or fantasies about taking shortcuts. Ego issues can nullify exalted skills. As far as digging up the seed yes my friend let it grow and have faith that it will grow. This is as much a test of trust as it is of practice. - blessings to you Jeff! - chrism , " Jeffrey " <getjeff1 wrote: > > Chrism, > > Thanks again for the advice and guidance. I accept what you're saying about being too mental about it. I'll (try NOT to!) work on it. Just let it happen...... > > My initial goal is not to " have an experience " , rather it is get activated to the degree where the 1-way trip has definitely begun. I feel like I'm with a lot of others in this group in that I sincerely don't care about whether I can sit outside in a blizzard (admitted, this is pretty cool, but, then again, I live in Florida), short-circuit traffic lights, or whatever. I basically view all this stuff as somewhere between somewhat interesting and somewhat annoying -- in that it represents some THING between the Union of the individual and the All..... which I understand as being the ever-deepening end-goal of K. > > I've got to say, I'm genuinely glad for the practice of the safeties stand alone. I would probably not have actually done them but for their being held out as a pathway to K activation, but having done them pretty seriously for 3 months, I realize that they are themselves an end in an of themselves. I don't know if it's baby-K, just getting more balanced, getting rid of the heavy, negative energies, or may be a combination, but the practice has been great and has actually improved my life and my relationship with all the rest of what IS. > > I guess I am guilty of always wanting more of a good thing. I will encourage you to just let it be and try not to get lost in figuring this out or being too mental about it. lol! I know that is easier said than done as I was also a mountain of questions at an earlier stage. > > > > Kundalini Fire is hot! Very Hot! That you are not feeling this as yet is a blessing as you are not in a place where its expression would be comfortable for you. Same with the kriyas or the kidney dilation or any of the gross phenomena of the Kundalini awakening. > > > > I will suggest that you turn your interest into working with the instructions and trusting that which has brought you here and into this information. I will suggest that when you reach a certain point within the awakening and or activation you WILL feel the extreme heat and the extreme cold. But hopefully not before you are able to process these experiences without going into fear or feeling something is wrong which is a very common experience. > > > > So please allow yourself the patience and the trust that this process is going to give to you what you can have and handle by points of refinement within your process. Your mental ego cannot do this. This isnt a one stop enlightenment shop. > > > > I will suggest that you may need to experience more than one quarterly Shaktipat. That as you experience these and continue your work within the Kundalini the needed refinements will come together for an increase in the evolution of the awakening within you. Then you will be given those experiences which will offer more than certain confidence that Kundalini is indeed awake and the great transformation has begun. - > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > , " Jeffrey " <getjeff1@> wrote: > > > > > > I've been going inside myself and trying to " see " what/whether the K has started, and I do see fire. Nothing feels hot, but when I do the prayer I or meditate, I do get bursts of heat, kinda like having a high fever for just a moment.... no snakes or spiders, just the fire. I find myself doubting my own perception, though, because I don't feel anything hot along the spine itself. Could anyone share some knowledge on exactly what the " fire " associated with K (or is the fire itself the K?) actually is? > > > > > > I have noticed that it is burning low, partially because I feel I am " clenching " . I think this is a surrender issue, but I'm not having a lot of success feeling how I should surrender when I get an upward energetic surge. Strangely, there's no heat associated with these surges -- but they do seem to originate from the fire in my 1st chakra..... any thoughts/comments would be appreciated. > > > > > > Thanks again Chrism! > > > > > > Jeffrey > > > > > >
