Guest guest
Dearest Danielle: You are such a sweet gift to me, and without a doubt to everyone who knows you. I truly do thank God on every remembrance of you, and the creatures large and small whom you care about. I love hummingbirds too and have a story to tell about a particular hummy mom who had her nest on our patio some years back. I watched her build the nest, sit on her baby eggs and then tend to her 3 (yes 3!) babies so faithfully until the day that 2 of the babies realized they were old enough to care for themselves. But the 3rd baby continued to stay in the nest, even though the hummy mom had left, and refused to feed it anymore. Several times that day she returned to encourage her 3rd baby to trust enough to leave the nest. She would hover there close by, flit away and return, coaxing baby 3 to leave the nest, to no avail. Finally at dusk, when I had come to the conclusion that baby 3 might be spending another night in the nest hungry, mom hummy appeared once again, hovering at nest level and baby took the plunge and flew off with mom following. II felt both elated and sad at the same time! And so moved by the nurturing yet firm approach that hummy mom took with her baby! Just as with the story of the male and female fish and his loyalty towards her, how amazing that Life Lessons are given to us through the smallest of God's creatures. Oh the wonder of a God so big that He uses even the tiniest of His creatures to reveal His love to us!! I fall to my knees in wonder and praise of so great a God and of all His creation that reflects His myriad aspects! And your photographs, dear Danielle evoke wonder and worship within me. I give thanks for you and your gift that inspires me too! In love with Life itself! Diane Diane
