Yawning...in the park

Dear All:

I had shared with a friend that I have difficulty finding any private space

during my breaks. There is a park close by you is there not, she had commented.

So today I headed to the nearby inner-city park for my lunch break.

When I was walking across the lot, under the trees I saw what I thought was a

woman. She was on her stomach with head arched upward; long dark hair and

wearing black. When I got closer I came to see that it was a large dog. I shook

my head in disbelief. If I had been questioned right there on the spot, I would

have sworn it was a woman I saw.

I was sitting upon a bench, snacking on lunch and thinking of Joe's recent dream

posting. I gave thought to what the dream may have been about; about fears

perhaps, or maybe it's merely Chrism-Shakti tapping into those uncomfortable

spots that force us into surrender.

I looked across the vastness of the park, noticed the community pool, which I

had never taken notice of before and realized that there was not a single person

in the entire park. I sat nibbling on my lunch, and soon the tears pooled in my

eyes and that feeling of being totally and utterly alone engulfed me. I had

just placed Chrism's photo on my lap and thought that perhaps I could have a few

moments of meditation before returning to the office.

It was only moments before a younger man wearing a black t-shirt and black sweat

pants walked up to me. I placed my right hand over Chrism's photo, while it

still rested upon my lap. The man said, " Too bad the sun isn't shining. What are

you doing " . And I said, " Eating lunch. What are you up to? " . He said " I'm

homeless. My girl turned on me. Said I was the one trying to sell pot and

alcohol. " I said, that sucks when we turn on ourselves hugh...would you like a

banana? He said, " yeah sure, do you have a dollar for a hamburger. " I said, I

doubt it, but let me check. I scrounged up three pennies. " Nah, that's ok he

said. " Is that a picture you got there, he asked. Yes it is I said (and added

nothing more). You're looking good, he said. (As if he was commenting from same

prior frame of reference.) I looked at him with my teary eyes and said I've had

my better days and harder days too.

I like your toes he said. I said thank you, I like to paint them. He said

because you're bored. I said, no because it's fun and an extension of my art. He

repeated " an extension of your art " .

I said, do you have friends you can hang with? He said, " no, I kindof screwed

myself. I'm going to go over to the bench there; my pants are almost dry. I'll

be fine. " I looked up into his eyes, and said with surprising compassion,

" indeed, you will be fine. " Then he turned to me and said, " Anything else " .

Anything else, I questioned. " Yeah, is there anything else I can do for you or

get you? " I was puzzled by this. I said no, thank you…just take good care of

your self; come to know your truth.

He left and I sat there for a moment thinking how odd that was. My hand was

still over Chrism's photo as I slipped into my bag.

When I was walking through the park, the scent of the orange blossoms caught my

attention. I back-tracked and picked a blossom which now sits on my keyboard as

I type this to you. So much for meditation in the park.

I cannot stop yawning today. It's almost like hiccups, but a yawn.

Love:

Danielle

It is so beautiful how those who can feel your radiance Danielle are attracted

to come right up to you! And your caring and yet somewhat discreet interactions

allow them to open to you as a point of honesty is given an opportunity to be

valued. Your service is precious Danielle! Making a difference in the lives of

those around you through the radiance flowing out of you. Sweet. - chrism

P.S. Yawning is an energetic release not always an indication of being tired.

You may find that you do it alot.
