If they do not return then there was only a one sided love to begin with and their freedom should be honored. You will feel abandoned at first but I will suggest that you come into the realization that " you " alone have enough love for giving this freedom to them. You have enough love of your " self " to be able to handle this with grace and the love of Shakti flowing through you.
