Guest guest
Dear chrism and all I would like to share what happened with emma last night.... Last night as I was lying next to emma as she was getting ready to sleep and we were chatting. We have always chatted about her dreams... as when she was little she had huge confusion expressing her dreams and used to get very upsset and confused.... I had to teach her a language around it so it is quite normal for her to chat about her dreams and very often I think she makes them up just to be chatting with me...lol! Last night she began to tell me about the cats that come on her ceiling... this was the first time she has spoken of them....after chatting for a while it seems that one cat comes each time but she has had a few seperate visits.... the cat is huge and it tries to get her with its claws... and as she is telling me she is doing the actions.... when I ask her what she does when she sees the cat she says gets away... the cat has never got her....when I suggerst that maybe she not run away she looks at me like I have lost the plot and emphesises again that the cat is HUGE and has CLAWS mom! I tell her about the mechanics of cats claws going into their paws... and we chat about cats in general....I tell her again that if she did not run away she would see that the cat would not hurt her and the claws would go into the paws. Now as we chatted I am wondering if what I am telling her is ok...what if she ended up having a real nightmare from following my advice... I knew of nothing else to offer her that would let her be ok with the cat visit... saying allow the cat to hurt you if it wants to would be not ok and I felt the cat would not hurt her anyway, how could it possibly... but still???? She settled down and says that she will not run away if they come again and I know that she means it. This morning when she woke up she was full of the joys and couldn't wait to tell me.. i " mom the cat wasn't huge it was a tiny little cat... not a big huge cat.... a tiny little cat...he was so cute...i rubbed the cat " She was full of energy and chat and in top form. I asked her no questions I was speechless..... blown away by this. love julia.
