For years have heard of Yogis using the Neti Pot. . .Everyone i have

heard use one has always given it such positive reviews. I was

interested because of the benefits but could not imagine myself

actually using a neti pot because have such a dislike for water up my

nose, so for years i have had both the intuition to get a Neti Pot and

yet at the same time avoidance.

For me the K " weaving " moves behind the sinus then enters the area of

the pineal gland. It is quite physical and wraps like a spindle and

weaves at the same time. It has been a discomfort i have learned to

accept. Quite often there will be intense headaches leaving the head

feeling like a throbbing immovable rock.

Finally took the plunge and ordered a Neti Pot. It came in but after

reading the instructions once again was reluctant thinking it would be

too difficult to do sitting up in bed. Then Wednesday night could not

sleep because of the intensity of the weaving producing the headache.

So at three in the morning tried my first nasal wash with the Neti

Pot.

Oh My Gosh!. . .How did i ever make it through this many years with K Ma

awakening with out a Neti Pot. The first time was so very simple and

completely pain free, not at all like having water up the nose when

swimming. It was so soothing and so very easy. After wards could not

believe the relief it brought forth.

I have been doing it twice a day, morning and night and it has

brought such a sensation of well being, peace, and gentle waves of

bliss each time. Went to the web and look up the benefits of the Neti

Pot. Knew that people in the West uses them for sinus but suspected

the East had spiritual reasons for using the the Neti pot with their

spiritual practice. Now i see why. .

Wanted to share this summary, and believe the benefit for me is that it

it cooling the brain and relaxing the physiological tension from the

intense energetic of K Ma weaving. or anyone else if you have

any more thoughts or information about the yogic and possible K Ma

related benefits or cautions would really appreciate here them. Neti is

becoming a true friend, such physical relief.

SUMMMARY OF THE BENEFITS OF NETI

Neti removes all the dirt and bacteria-filled mucus from within the

nose.

It also helps to drain the sinus cavities. This, in turn, will help to

re-program the body's natural mechanisms against nasal infections such

as hay fever, allergies, sinusitis and other upper respiratory

complaints like sore throats and coughs, post nasal drip,

inflammation of tonsils and adenoids.

It is beneficial for illnesses such as asthma and bronchitis as it

reduces the tendency for mouth breathing by freeing the nostrils of

mucus.

It has a cooling and soothing effect on the brain by drawing out

excessive heat, and is therefore beneficial for headaches,

migraine, epilepsy, temper tantrums, hysteria, depression and

general mental tension.

Neti is of great benefit for problems associated with the eyes. It

helps flush the tear ducts, encouraging clearer vision and gives a

sparkle to the eyes.

It can be beneficial for certain types of ear disorders such as middle

ear infections, glue ear, tinnitus.

Neti improves sensitivity of the olfactory nerves, helping to restore

lost sense of smell, and thereby benefits the relationship with

taste and digestive processes.

It has subtle effects on the pineal and pituitary glands which control

the hormonal system. This has a harmonizing effect on emotional

behaviors.

Neti affects the psychic center known as Ajna Chakra which helps in

awakening higher states of meditation.

It helps to stimulate better powers of visualization and concentration

and gives a feeling of lightness and clarity to the mind.

Neti is excellent for those trying to give up smoking. Since it reduces

the tendency for mouth breathing, Neti re-sensitizes the nose to

the actual pollution of ingesting smoke, thereby de-programming

the brain of the physical and psychological addiction.

This weekend received an unexpected call and was given a lovely little

country home with a few acres. It is in a small village with a

population of 50 people with plenty of space for gardening, pets, and a

fire pit for a drumming circle which i have always wanted. Am still in

a bit of shock by the grace of it. This means when i am at a place of

closure with the current energetic work, which i think will be soon,

will be able to travel back and forth from the U.S. and India dividing

time between the two worlds and be able to comfortably afford. Such

unexpected grace just wanted to share. It is located about 25 miles off

Route 66 so if the K brothers and sisters are taking the drive too or

from Chrism's please know you are always welcome to have a rest or a

place to stop for the night, it would be such a please to get know you

in person.

P.S. Some recommend the ceramic version over the plastic one.

I got mine (an inexpensive plastic one) at Walgreen's for about $10-15. If you

end up liking it, then you can spring for one of the more expensive ceramic

ones, if you wish. For me, the plastic one works fine.

Alexander i got mine through Amazon, it is Himalayan institute Neti and

came with the salt solution and Neti Boost which has essential oils,

peppermint, eucalyptus, barberry bark, philodendron bark, goldenseal

and Menthol which is quite nice. I like the light touch of Mother

nature in the Neti. Also Walgreens has a 1/2 off on their cermaic Neti,

around 7.50 with about 30 packs of unionized salt.

I also found a really good deal for the Neti sea salt which is

uniodionized on the web. Most places where selling it for 5 to 11

dollars, but found a place that sells it for 2.49 and free shipping. It

is the Himalayan institute salt. Here is that link in case anyone like

saving a few dollars.

Also wanted to share this information received this morning from a dear

K Ma brother about Neti. .

" . . . we learned the neti mantra where neti is said 3X. It means I am

not this body, I am not this mind, I am not these thoughts. Its a tool

to bring one into spiritual consciousness-a samadhi trance or state

which becomes sanyama-establishment or permant samadhi.

I too like the vapors, the mist, the mystical. Water is code for spirit.

Water is like crystal, it embeds information, by dissolving or

absorbing or accepting or neutralizing. It also comprises the majority

of our flesh, water and spirit that is. "

I am considering changing my alias from ordinary sparrow to Netiananda

(nasal bliss) lol! . . .nothing like a fanatic!. . .guess Ma will have

to find a way to pry the Neti from my " cold hard " nose. . .

Thanks Bradley and all who wished good thoughts, much appreciated.

It will be in a little placed called Lelia Lake Texas, about 4 hours

from Albuquerque. Often times people taking the trip to California use

the old Route 66 because the mountains terrains that cuts off so much of

the East and Middle states from the straight line of the West Coast.

Once i get settled down there you are most welcome to stop in.
