Ah thank you Sarkis and all who replied. Tryptophan was a word in my head when I

awoke...in relation to animals and anxiety, their parietal eye, my third eye or

ajna and self with increased body fat. The correlation I think I was seeking was

not so much the biological one, though I did not realize this, but rather

through the researching I was reminded of my journey, my devotion, (ajna), and

my temple that I'm not taking care of.

The article below fits my eating patterns while adjusting to my new home

scenario etc. I thought I was handling things relatively well, but I have been

feeding my emotions and giving myself a false sense of security. I'm in an

uncomfortable, lethargic state now...which I don't believe is all due to

k-activity, but rather from my hand to mouth activity.

" When large amounts of carbohydrates are eaten, the body secretes large amounts

of the hormone insulin to lower the ensuing high blood sugar. The insulin also

clears from the blood most of the 5 amino acids that compete with tryptophan for

a ride to the brain. Tryptophan then has the " bus " all to itself, allowing more

tryptophan to reach the brain.

This strategy is instinctively known and practiced by many people who eat large

amounts of carbohydrates like bread, cakes, pies, ice cream, chips, pizza, candy

etc., especially when they are feeling depressed, stressed or anxious.

The increased brain serotonin this produces lowers arousal and anxiety,

promoting a (temporary) sense of well being and security. However, this strategy

comes at a price, the same insulin which enhances brain serotonin also enhances

the conversion of the fats, carbohydrates, and amino acids cleared from the

blood into stored body fat! "

Thank you and blessings.

Hehe Danielle,

We have been on the same train it seems....I was recently told about this

insulin fix! I read further in

relation to my last post about the Mag oil .

Some links I found that are neat

http://www.alsearsmd.com/restore-this-fat-loss-mineral-today/

http://www.naturalnews.com/024847_magnesium_insulin_medicine.html

It will take this entire book to present all the reasons that magnesium

qualifies as a love drug; there are reasons that take us out of the physical

body and into emotional, mental and spiritual bodies.

" Hidden in each cubic mile of ocean water is enough healing

power to put the pharmaceutical companies out of business. "

Thanks so much for posting! Ive been doing the same, craving those carbs to feed

those emotions and feeling

like a snail after-wards...after years of avoiding them. Time to throw them out

again and clean up that diet.

Love,

Kat.
