Guest guest
Actually danielles post and my remembrence of that particular Kali time has reminded me of something else also ... back when this occured I was unable to google kali... the reason I did not google sounds really silly but for me and my no reference background to things such as Kali and because of the dreams I was having I guessed googling kali would most probably initiate fear in me and then the teaching I was being given would stop. so I did not google then... in fact I have not googled or searched for answers outside of my own experience for many a long time now.. except of course to ask chrism and listen to his teachings and to all of your wisdoms here. That my own experiences and the safeties have been my way of navigating through my awakening I think that this stratergy has served me well.... but with recent happenings in my life and with rememberence of other happenings I am realising that I now need to start investigating things... I now need to start googling stuff... and the reason I can now to do this is because fear will not rise as it would once have done... the time has come for me to move into this area of learning.... it will help me to understand more about what it is I am experiencing. I can enhance and learn more about what is going on in my own experience if I google or read or whatever. ~take for example the visits I have had from a bear... I have seen a bear in my dream and in visions and in the crystal I have brought home from Brazil... I have no idea of the significandce of the bear... there must be some different teaching when shakti visits as bear compared to when the wolf used to visit... I am now going to look up the meaning of bears in dreams and let the information I receive help me to discern what the bear visit is telling me. Soooo before I go to google...lol...does anyone know the significance of Bear visits! love julia
Guest guest
Oh don't get me started. LOL. From an animal totem perspective, the bear is a strong spirit and are one of the most influential of all animal totems. In Native American cultures the bear has strong medicine magic and many tribes consider bears to be Shaman themselves. They are known to as keepers of medicine because they keep all the ancient healing secrets and the spirits of the earth. The Bear is a reserved and powerful animal. They signify leadership, family values and lunar magic. They are a spiritual and medicine totem and provide insight, calm grace and words of truth to those who seek their council. Bears are said to possess Lunar magic. They are devoted mothers..and as you may know, mother bears will fiercely protect her offspring from any harm or threat of harm... According to Crystalinks " Bear: power, healing Bears hibernate in the winter, which may explain their association with " dreaming the Great Spirit " or retrospection. The symbolism of the Bear's cave reflects returning to the womb of Mother Earth. [A Cave is an archetype for the mind - sleep - returning to higher consciousness.] This also suggests a strong feminine aspect, one of nurturing and protection. Bear cubs, born in the early spring, can spend as many as seven years with their mother before reaching maturity. People with Bear Medicine are considered by many as self-sufficient, and would rather stand on their own two feet than rely on others. They are often considered dreamers. Many have developed the skill of visualizing new things, but as a result can get caught up in the dreaming, making little progress in waking reality. Bear's medicine includes introspection, healing, solitude, wisdom, change, communication with Spirit, death and rebirth, transformation, astral travel, creature of dreams, shamans and mystics. " to be continued as wished... Guest guest
Hi Julia, From what I've been taught, Bear is powerful healer and knows the ways of plant medicine. When Bear is sick, she selects the right herbs to cure her ailment. Bear is considered a close relative to us two-leggeds, and many legends tell of children turning into bears, and bears into children. Many tribes do not hunt Bear for that reason, it would be like killing a family member. Bear in the Pacific Northwest of Turtle Island has a triad relationship with Salmon and the forest. Bear fishes Salmon out of the river and hauls her up on the forest floor, and what she does not eat, or eats and digests, feeds the forest. Without Bear, the forests would starve, for the minerals it needs, Salmon carries miles upstream. From a Native perspective, dreaming of Bear would signify that she is approaching you to teach you and possibly share with you her Medicine. Hope this helps. Peace, Shaz --- Julia wrote: > ~take for example the visits I have had from a bear... I have seen a bear in my dream and in visions and in the crystal I have brought home from Brazil... Guest guest
Hi Julia, I was looking at Kali stuff before I found KAS. At that time I had no idea much about anything. I only had my experience and alot I didn't understand. It was years after till I was able to really start to make sense of things and still I come across things I just don't feel I'm ready for. I just keep in mind what Chrism has said about a retraining of the ego not a nuclear assault lol. So I mark things come back to them when Ive processed enough to handle more. Ive found if I push to hard, I just lose my grounding. So maybe the tortoise does win the race? Awaking are personal experiences. I just go a little out of my comfort zone and sit with it and then bite off a little more. In terms of a kundalini awaking, I'm still quite young...4 years in the fall but Ive only really looking for information for a year and half. We really do have some elders here:) Find Julia's pace and don't push yourself to hard. Love, Kat. ________________________________ Julia <jajahern Wed, May 5, 2010 5:11:11 PM further re kali... and google and bears...  but with recent happenings in my life and with rememberence of other happenings I am realising that I now need to start investigating things...
