Guest guest
Hi Nina, I'm so glad that you've joined our Group and that you are now running with the Safeties. Just a personal take on Crown pressures from me: My own (possibly unique) experience is that pressures in the Crown or roving pulsations in the scalp generally, come from shallow (almost imperceptible) breathing from the top of the lungs. This is made worse by any form of confrontational or competitive pressure translating into anxiety that tends to express itself in a mini form of hyperventilation, sometimes below the surface of my consciousness. In turn, this leads to solar plexus agitation. Now, the solar plexus, at least in my case, is the engine-room for spontaneous inter-chakra energy movement and once this diaphragm area has been disturbed, a rush of head pressure usually follows, almost as if there is some short-circuiting of energy streams and an overload is trapped in the head with electricity plunging and soaring in search of an escape route. This can lead to further anxiety and a ratcheting of the cycle upward, to include an ascent of searing heat ,irritability, lack of day-time focus and poor quality sleep. In my case, strenuous forms of yoga, meditation and other " interventions " amount (as says), to pouring petrol on a fire. As you are finding also, the solutions for me are very much contained in the Safeties in witnessing everything empathetically or without judgement, harmonising, stretching patience intervals in convoluted conversations or in queues, rarely saying " no " as a reflex response, abandoning fixed positions that have come from the history of accidents that have led to my present mindset and doing service almost as a self-cancelling antidote to worrying about " little me " Most importantly though, I set aside periods, preferably when I'm lying down, to focus on watching the rise and fall of the breath within the diaphragm. If these sessions are repeated many times, the breathing becomes re-harnessed to truly rotational energy flows and, in my case, to a soothing of head pressures. Love - John. ====================================== Nina wrote: " ............One of the things that brought me to this group was the amount of pressure I was feeling in my crown. Guest guest
John, thank you for sharing your experience with me. I will keep your words in mind the next time I am experiencing these. I have been through a fair amount of material on the KAS 1 website, but don't recall seeing anything in regard to " pouring petrol on fire " . Did write about this topic on the site or with this group that you can recall? Thanks again. Guest guest
Hi there Nina, - nice to hear from you again. About 14 months ago, I was experiencing some extreme symptoms including incredible heat which, in retrospect, I attribute to not following all aspects of the Safeties at the time of my awakening. I reported my symptoms to Chrism in a fairly desperate email, saying that I was trying to get relief by pushing into various self-styled yogic manoeuvres and a lot of counter-productive repetitions of the First (spinning) Tibetan. I was also trying to visualise blue within various chakras. This was Chrism's reply which I hope he doesn't mind my quoting:: " John, the last thing you will want to do INSIDE OF YOUR PHENOMENA is spinning. This would be like putting out the fire with gasoline. Same with any sexual expression you have perhaps experienced. Stay well hydrated and eat as much watermelon as you can. STOP ALL PRACTICES. Everything that is what you have become used to doing , needs to come to a stop. You can try the left nostril breathing but only if it makes a difference and if it doesn't or if it makes things worse discontinue it. Do NOT go overboard by hyperventilating through the left nostril. No blue in the chakras or anything. I know this is difficult. But doing spiritual based practices at this time will only make it worse and longer lasting. Regardless of what others may say to attempt to help. With the discontinuance of your practice in place, stay with the increased hydration and watermelon. Take cool to cold baths or showers. This will last as long as the Kundalini in you decrees that it last. It doesn't help to do energetic practices! There is the cold aspect of the Shakti but you may by accident simply reverse the process and be too cold all of the time. It will come from the first chakra and rise up the front typically. Try this if you feel up to it - take an ice cube and place it next to the skin on the lower front abdomen. As you feel the cold " call the cold " from the first chakra by matching that frequency with the feeling and the summoning - understand? I did this and for me it wasn't difficult. Be careful not to bring it on too strong John or you may simply become way out of balance with cold. - Let me know your thoughts. - " Chrism makes the same warning about not using petrol (gasoline)to put out a raging Kundalini fire in post no.s: 15 4899 12549 20920 34205 44223 and perhaps more recent ones that the disabled Search function can't track. Just to finish, while my extreme symptoms for the most part have now subsided or gone, I can't stress enough to others, the importance of following the Safeties without exception in any lead-up to an Awakening - Love John. ============================= Nina wrote: " I have been through a fair amount of material on the KAS 1 website, but don't recall seeing anything in regard to " pouring petrol on fire " . Guest guest
Good Evening, John: Thanks for sharing all this information. I don't even know how I am supposed to define my state. I suppose it is " awakening " . Although, I feel like she is already awake. I guess I am not active? in that I haven't had a mind-blowing experience where I felt my chakras light up like a pinball machine. I'm a bit confused, as I am consistently told to follow ALL of the safeties, but it sounds like I may be aggravating some aspects of my system by doing so. I am focusing on the safeties where I feel like I need the most work (forgiveness, patience with people, turning around negative thoughts that occur, and food). Some of the safeties are second nature with a newly added awareness (tongue up, gratitude, programming, honesty, and trust in the process). The prayers as defined on the site are difficult for me in that I have a personal problem with the word " God " and thinking of what I believe to be energy as deities. Due to exposures I have had, I feel the word " God " is not infinite enough to describe what I call " Tao " and has too much baggage--wars, depicted as a white old man, politics/money--in Western society. I know the Godheads all the same thing, but the word " God " mostly makes me cringe and be wary of the source. Once again, I realize that this is a problem that I have and will have to address. Also, I wasn't certain that I wanted to evoke Shakti yet, but if she is already present, I may as well have her helping me. Meditation is something that I do a fair amount of, but without any discipline. I am still getting comfortable with putting together my personal ritual of the safeties. I suppose I should try them all for at least a week. I think I am going to contact regarding some other symptoms that I am having where I think the `eyes up' may be counterproductive. First, I will check out the post #s you so generously provided and see if my questions are not answered there. I will let you know what comes of this. With thanks and love, Nina " John R " <...> wrote: > > > > Hi there Nina, - nice to hear from you again. > > About 14 months ago, I was experiencing some extreme symptoms including incredible heat >
Guest guest
Hi Nina, And welcome to the group. You can surrender to the Tao if that is more appealing to you. There are many flows of energy in the universe. Tao is undifferentiated source, the same as Nirguna Brahman in Hinduism. From the One comes the two (yin and yang=Shakti and Shiva), and then the many. These dimensions being worlds of duality, Tao differentiates into two, then many, streams. Yet the entire multiverse is at the same time the flow of the Tao. (How can undifferentiated Oneness flow? Words are insufficient.) Shakti and Shiva are personifications of yin and yang energies - emanations from wuji (undifferentiated oneness). Many other beings are also emanations. So are you. There are more beings in this multiverse than we can imagine, in all stages of existence and many dimensions. Some of them have jobs to do keeping the worlds running. Some of them have the job of assisting some of us back to the Source. Throughout time, some of these beings have been named by humans as " gods " or " goddesses " . In many cases, they simply represent a particular stream of energy, an emanation which they carry and channel and represent in these dimensions of duality. An energy stream manifesting a body for itself, just as we do to fulfill our purposes in these material worlds. There are some energy streams that manifest in form that you can ride back to the One. Hooking up with an energy stream that leads you Home is not so bad. That's what you do when you worship God in form. At a certain point in your path, you may find yourself drawn to worship or express devotion to one of these emanations in form. You might find Shakti in Her outer manifestation as Kwan Yin appealing. We all come to spirituality with our egos and minds, which have been conditioned and prejudiced and filled with opinions by our experiences in this and past lives. We mistake these things for ourselves, when in fact they are sheaths or coverings over that which we are - soul, a spark of the Divine, Atman, pure awareness - whichever words work for you. Don't let these outer sheaths that we wear like so many items of clothing get in the way of worshipping the Divine. Why worship the Divine? Because worship=devotion=love which leads to surrender which leads to dissolution of that which makes you think you are separate from the object of your devotion which leads to merging your awareness with the Divine. Hence bhakti yoga, which could be translated as the process of yoking your awareness to the Divine through love and devotion. And all during the process, even before your " final dissolution " (drop of water, ocean), you get to experience the day to day and moment to moment joy of being filled with love and devotion, which only deepens with surrender. It all sounds great until you have to do it. Then the mind and the ego rebel. Still, it's not really that hard. Praying is a way of expressing surrender to the Divine, as well as love and devotion. Surrender to that which is within and without you, which is greater than your mind and your ego, who have mostly been in charge up until now. You can pray to the Tao, you can pray to Shiva, Shakti, Isis, Kwan Yin, Apollo and Diana - the list goes on. The important thing is to appeal to the Divine for Grace, for Love, for Surrender, etc. - to develop a personal relationship with the Divine, in whatever form He/She/It manifests for you. Use this personal relationship you are developing with the Divine in the service of others. Pray for others in need. Ask the Divine to assist them. You already have a personal relationship with the Divine. God lives within you as Shiva and Shakti and as your own awareness. You can worship and pray to your chosen gods or goddesses in their well-known pictured forms or in their less concrete form as streams and flavors of energy emanating from the Divine. Don't be surprised though if one or another of them one day appears to you, real as the nose on your face, just to show you that their forms and their formlessness are the same. So pray with gusto. Feel yourself fill with longing for the Divine. Beg for assistance from that which is greater than your mind and your ego. You will be personally interacting with the formless Tao, the gods and the goddesses within you and without you, your Higher Self, and all those beings, powers, and forces that can assist you and that have assisted others throughout eternity on this sacred journey. Guest guest
Nina, I just read your post about your wonderful tiger dream. You can pray to the Shakti Tiger if you wish - this will also fulfill the safety of prayer! Love, David

Guest guest
Hello David, I found your message very nicely written. The sentence that I have left is the one that I found particularly helpful in understanding `gods' personified. I will write more when I have a chance. Thank you for taking the time to respond.
