Guest guest
Outside of my office window stands a giant eucalpytus tree, over 4 stories tall. It shades me from the hot desert sun, and houses finches and a hawk now and then. A construction crew dressed in flourescent yellow has spent the morning sawing it down, limb by limb. At first I thought they were pruning, but as the hours pass, I am subjected to its mutilation. Just now I witnessed its magestic tuff be cut at the " neck " , like a sword drawn across a man's throat; it's head now dangling from a cable, 4 stories down. My co-worker has just left, stating that she cannot bear the site of this death occuring outside my window. " I think I can hear the tree screaming she says " ... We know not for what reason it is being cut; it was a healthy vibrant lovely giant. Love: ~Danielle
Guest guest
HOW AWFUL! In the area where I live, neighbors send out mercinaries to cut down eucalyptus trees that are obstructing their view. Cutting down old trees is bad juju. Sorry to hear that you have to witness this! Guest guest
This made me feel ill D- I am sorry your friend is now gone- Plant a tree to replace it - I know you will find a place. This is a minor travesty in comparison to the oil spill and the other world devastation yet it is a personal one- I trust Shakti has a plan to help us live thru all the destruction currently happening. WE just need to be open to it - May all the trees that we have known and loved be blessed with the divine love and those who have suffered may they receive care in their next life. e
Guest guest
I apologize, for I did not mean to make others feel ill. The tree is now but a stump. It took 5 men to carry a single ring of it. A Navajo friend came to visit and so I showed her the remains. She pointed out how the six laned road is cracked, as well as the side of the nearby building. Oh, I said...I did not even see this. Before, I could not see it through the branches and leaves. I'm amazed and inspired by the power of the roots. Perhaps next time thought will be given to how to live in harmony. I wish to do my part to help in getting this balance right. I'm going to go count the rings and pay my respects before I head home for the day. Love, Peace and Harmony. ~Danielle , " " . wrote: > > > > This made me feel ill D- I am sorry your friend is now gone-

Guest guest
Hi Danielle I relate so heavily with your affinity for trees. I had a Ficus that I bought about 10 years ago when I got my first home. In some African traditions libation is done on trees for family or other entities. I used to do libation on my tree for a long time in respect for and rememberance of special people that passed away. I even used my tree to practice looking at auras a while back and found that it is easier for me to see my tree's aura than even another persons. Because of the large windows in our sitting room my tree flourished and grew to around 19 feet. I looked for bigger pots so that I could replant it but my husband made a determination that it had to go because he believed it would break our floorboards. I pleaded with him but he insisited and I acquiesced. A week ago, as my husband ripped my tree apart limb by limb I tried to act unaffected. I have other problems and I did not want to look like a spoiled whimp so I just preoccupied my self with other matters. That evening as he and I were watching tv I began to feel short winded. My husband asked what was wrong and I told him I didn't feel great. He remarked that it was probably because of the weight I had put on. I was offended and went in the sitting room as an exuse to get something to drink when I saw the dramatic empty space left by the abscence of the tree. I suddenly felt old and gushed into tears. I don't know whether I was crying over the tree or the fact the I am beginning to feel older and am beginning to feel lose in my life on a larger scale than I feel gain. No matter what the reason, trees seem to hold a special place in a lot of people's hearts and minds. This tree did have a lot of my history tied into it so I did not let it go lightly. I don't think my husband totally understands my sence of lose but he promised that we could buy another tree. I will get another tree but maybe I will give it away to someone after a few years to avoid the trauma I felt at the loss of this one. If I can help it I will never destroy another tree again. , " iamwaitingmoon " <iamwaitingmoon wrote: > > Outside of my office window stands a giant eucalpytus tree, over 4 stories tall. Guest guest
Reading about this yesterday, I became very sad. Later I did feel very helpless, and became angry because of being helpless, when things like this are happening. For me it is always terrible, when harm is given to animals or trees, who are in no way able to defend themselves. And this remembers me of my father, who did beat up his dogs, when I was a child. Because of being angry about what happened, I guess, I have to do forgiveness now. love, Yiara --- Carla & Patrick <bowenhealth schrieb am Fr, 14.5.2010: Von: Carla & Patrick <bowenhealth Betreff: Re: The lovely Giant An: Datum: Freitag, 14.
