Abhinavagupta
Namaste, There are many meditations you could do. One of the Highest ones can be simply resting as Awareness. You just abide as the Self and not give any importance to the thoughts. Thoughts can come and go, but you are more concerned with the context instead of the content of thought. Pranayama techniques may be useful. You could make your in and out breath one. This means you breath in and out with no pauses between the breaths. It combines the breath into one continuous breath. This can help quiet the mind and energize the body. You can also do Japa Yoga. You simply pick a mantra such as Namah Shivaya or Om Namah Shivaya and simply say the mantra silently to yourself over and over again. Another meditation you could do is focus on the gaps between your breathing. This means you will notice the gap when you finish your inhale just before the exhale and the gap after the exhale before the inhale. This will allow you to become one with Bhairava (Shiva). There are plenty of other meditations also. Remember the mind can be as loud as it wants, we do not have to give such importance to it. Some Yogis suggest that you see thoughts as simply the play of Shiva. Om Namah Sivaya
