kalidasacharya
Few years ago I was introduced to Nivarna Mantra "Oum Aing Hring Kling Chamundaye Vichey" by my mother. I started mentally chanting it as as and when I could. I saw positive and raical changes started happening in my life. Meanwhile I got inclined towards Maa Kaali and want to do Dakshin Kaali Sadhana. I have read in a book that Nivarna Mantra can also be used for Dakshin Kaali Sadhana, but the mantra mentioned in the book has Swaha at the end, i.e. "Oum Aing Hring Kling Chamundaye Vichey Swaha". My questions to the experienced Sadhaks here are: 1) Can Nivarna Mantra be used for Dakshin Kaali Sadhana? 2) If answer to question 1 is yes, then should the mantra have Swaha at the end during all phases (i.e. Japa, Homa, Tarpan and Marjan)? 3) If answer to question 1 is yes, then should the dhayan mantra of Kali be used or dyan mantra of Chamunda? Thanks, Kalidas
Guest H.Ramadas Rao
Dear Mr.Kalidas, The Mantra you wrote is from Shri Durga Sapta Shati Chandi Path.It is not Dakshina Kalika Mantra. You must take initiation of Dakshina Kalika Mantra from a Sadhaka who does the Sadhana of Shri Dakshina Kalika Devi. Guest Aghor
For effectiveness of the diksha and to ensure that someone is there to guard you in case of trouble.. get initiation a.k.a mantra diksha from someone who has accomplished the sadhna of that form of goddess. makes a world of difference. while the brave ones may venture alone without initiation, which as far as I am concerned is totally acceptable, finding an accomplished guru to initiate you is worth the effort and saves you a lot of time and trouble. Just like a guru has the right to test you for competence for any sadhana, you too should keep an objective mind while looking for a guru.
