Guest Chandrashekar
Milk shall form one component of panchamrut; But, after panchamrit, we cannot forget to do abhishek with just pure water. Needless to say, when one chants "....soham bhavena poojayet..." during invocation, the water shall be at least luke warm for those winter months !. Bhasm should also figure for abhishek / archana ! Guest Rahul P Dolia
To do abhishek for Shiva you can use any thing for example cow urine honey wheat rice pulses it all depends on what you want. Shiva does not need any thing as he is sarvavyapy means he is in everything and everywhere. it is the bhav that is the prime motive that matters the most. With true bhakthi whatever you give he will accept it
Guest Yogi Thakur
Pranam Shivalinga is symbol, indicates the union of Prakriti and Purusha. Shiva the meditation/Bhakti/Intensive devotion by the devotee/Purusha is total achivement towards Prakriti/Shakti. Nothing is required to Abhishek other than extensive desire-less devotion by the devotee. Abhishek is the protocol to create physical energy either with desire or without desire (for surrendering) because desires do not surrenders the devotee.
