Guest Swaprabha
I seek kind guidance from experienced ENT - ear ailment professionals with reference to a strange phenomenon that is prevailing in my right ear since last September, 2013. I happen to catch cold easily. One fine day in September, 2013 a rattling sound began to generate practically every minute. It has gone on since then. I have consulted several ENT specialists who 'label' this matter as 'tinnitus' and brush it off as incurable. I consulted with several Ayurveda specialists who labelled this matter as 'vata' related disorder and recommended restricted diet. As prescribed I have been consuming 'Sari Vadi Vati' gutika regularly but the ailment persists. I clearly understand that some disorder in the Eustachian tube generates air that hits 'something' right behind the eardrum invoking this rattling sound. When I exhale through the nose with a push the sound subsides; it is then 'reignited' and the cycle continues. I feel stressed by this and seek guidance to resolve the issue completely. Please help. Thanks. Swaprabha
